Разбудил и также сказал другому купцу. Посмотрел из-под бурки и увидел пламя огня.

He woke up all the merchants and they went to the fire, where they found a spring of water and food.

Он разбудил всех купцов, пошли к огню, там нашли источника воды и еду.

After they sat down and ate their bellies full(?), the merchants asked the boy: "Although you are like this, why did your parents give you to us?"

После того, как покушали и сидели наевшие, купцы спросили у мальчика, хотя ты такой, почему родители дали нам тебя мол.

When he had said that to him, they insisted: "When you don't tell us, we will give you to the king."

Как только это он сказал, они настаивали его, если нам тоже не расскажешь, мы тебя дадим царю.

"Whatever you do, I won't tell you my dream that I wouldn't tell my parents either!", the boy [said and] ran away.

Мальчик был решительным, когда я не рассказал своим родителям, вам тем более не расскажу, что бы вы ни сделали мол.

Afterwards they brought and gave him to the king.

Потом они его повели и дали царю.

"Increase the food that you are giving to me!", she said to her father, ...

Столько еще пищу, дающую мне увеличь сказала папе и оставшуюся она тайно ото всех отнесла юноше в тюрьму.

"When you go again, tell your father that you have seen it in a dream: He shall throw it upward and when it comes down again, the iron stick's heavier side will turn downward and get stuck in the earth."

Как придешь отсюда, скажи отцу мол, что ты видела во сне, если железную палку бросить на верх и когда опуститься вниз, то тяжелая часть повернется книзу, даже может вонзиться в землю.

They escaped from there and the king's daughter ran and let the boy out of the prison.

It [the pigeon] asked permission from the mother and took her word that she would never kill this pigeon; she opened the window and let it inside, and it flew in and sat down on the girl's head.

She tried to remove it with her hand and it flew away, sat down on a pole under a log, shook itself and made a golden feather fall down.

The girl then went and took it and tied it to her own scarf.

The ram then shook itself and a piece of whool fell down; the girl took it and attached it to the scarf.

When it shook itself a second time, it turned into the boy.

The boy became a pigeon again, and the girl opened the window and let it out.

The pigeon carried this glass, put it next to the king and from there flew to the king's window, from which they went out to fight.

Этот голубь отвез тот стакан, поставил около царя, оттуда дальше пошел к окну царя, к которому они идут воевать.

The viziers led the army out and went to follow him.

Визири подняли войско и пошли за ним.

And after cracking also [for?] his daughter, his wife and himself, they became thin donkeys.

Затем ударил дочери, жену, себя и превратил в худощавых ослов.

The boy however filled his bags with ashes, put them onto the donkey and went on his way, although they were scolding him much: "Why are you carrying these ashes?!"

А этот юноша заполнил мешки золы, поставил их на ослов и шел по дороге, хотя они ругали его, зачем эту золу хоть забрать мол.

There, the king gathered his viziers, and when he asked: "Who again brought this golden glass of mine?", that vizier appeared and said: "Haven't I brought it?"

Там тоже царь собрал визиров, еще раз спросил, кто привел этот мой золотой стакан мол, появился тот же самый визирь и сказал, я же принес его мол.

"What shape did he arrive in?", asked the father, and his daughter told him the entire thing: "At first, a pigeon came, the it shook itself and became a ram with silver whool, afterwards that ram became a boy again, asked for the glass; I gave him the glass and let him go."

Отец спросил, каким обликом он пришел мол, и девушка рассказала обо всем, сперва голубь пришел, он встряхнулся и превратился в барана с золотой шерстью, затем из этого баран обратился в юношу, спросил у меня стакан, а я дала и отправила.

She put the feather that fell from that pigeon onto her father's hat, and threw the golden whool that fell from the ram onto the chest and asked: "Daddy, does it fit?"

Перо, которое уронил голубь, вколола в шапку отца, а шерсть, которая повалилась с барана, бросил на грудь, и спросила, папа, подходит ли мол.

"Build a house like mine", said the king to his daughter's husband, "and construct a golden bridge from door to door!"

Царь сказал мужу дочери, построишь дом наподобие моего и со двора на двор установишь золотой мост.

When he went over the golden bridge to his daughter, he found a table filled with gold there.

По золотому же мосту пошел к дочери, там нашел стол полный золота.

When he took it back, it turned back into the gold that it was.

убрал обратно, остался обычным золотом.

Afterwards, the king asked the boy: "Why did your parents gave you - who has such talents - to the merchants and they in turn gave you to me?"

Потом царь спросил юношу, ты такой талантливый, почему тебя продали купцам, а они дали мне мол.

Had I told them this dream instead, I would have remained what I was.

Если бы рассказал им об этом сне, я бы остался таким же мол.

And the king then sent a man to call the boy's parents, and in the next morning, he brought them.

Царь отправил человека пригласить родителей юноши и привел их на следующий же день.

Afterwards, the good friend got hungry and asked the bad one for food, and they ate first.

When the good friend was hungry for the second time, he asked for food, but he [the other one] rejected: "Didn't I give you something first?"

Again, the good friend became hungry and asked the bad one for food, and the bad friend didn't let him eat before he didn't take away his second eye and gave it to him.

"How's that?", said the fox.

---

"One thing that the people don't know is that there's a tree above the ditch.

He pulled out a single leaf and after smearing it [onto his eye], the other eye got its eyesight back.

Afterwards, the assembly gave him - according to the agreement - half their wealth, sheep, cows, shepherds and dogs for them, carriages together with horses along them, half the property, the harvest, and above that, they sent people to help him, and let him go his way.

From there, he went away to the sick king that the wolf had told about.

On his alarm, the bear and the wolf jumped up, teared the bad man to pieces and killed him.

From there they took the cat with them further on their way.

The wolves began to sing a song: "Dalay, dalay, a donkey for one meal; dalay, dalay, a rooster for another meal; and a cat and a calf for yet another meal."

Волк начал петь песню, далай, далай на одно кушанье осел, далай, далай, на другое кушанье петух, на третье кушанье кошка и теленок.

Then they gave the donkey the word to sing a song: "Dimbi-dambar, we really killed a wolf; dimbi-dambar, go outside and look; dimbi-dambar, by dawn we'll kill the rest."

После них песню петь слово дали ослу, димби-дамбар, убили одного волка, димби-дамбар идите на улицу, посмотрите, димби-дамбар до рассвета убьем и остальных.

The rooster then said: "I will be collecting things out of the garbage."

А петух сказал, я из мусора вещи буду подобрать мол.

After a while, when the frost began to disturb the cat and the rooster, they came to the mill's door and begged: "Let us inside!"

Через некоторое время, когда холод начал беспокоить кошку и петуха, подошли к двери мельницы и просили, пустите нас вовнутрь мол.

"What's happening here?", he stood there astonished.

Это что же здесь происходит, удивился он.

On the second day then, when he came, he found the richest food put on the table.

На второй день пока он не вернулся, нашел поставленные на столе лучшие из лучших яства.

The next morning, the father said: "Bring alot of pilaw to everyone in the village tomorrow, or else I will kill you."

На следующий день еще отец сказал, если завтра не достанешь достаточно для всех риса, то убью мол.

That day, because he came home said, his wife asked: "Why did you come home sad today as well?"

В тот день тоже пришел домой грустный, поэтому жена спросила, почему сегодня тоже такой грустный мол.

On the second day, the younger brother went to the edge of the sea.

Второй день тоже младший брат пошел к берегу моря.

On the third day the father invited him and said to him: "You fulfilled two of my tasks.

Третий день тоже отец пригласил и сказал ему, ты выполнил две мои условия.

For the third time, go to your dead mother and ask her, where she put the golden dagger, rifle and belt, and whether she is in heaven or in hell!"

Еще третий раз, иди к твоей умершей матери и спроси у нее, на каком месте находятся золотые сабля, ружье и пояс, и ты где в раю или в аду мол.

Третий раз спросила жена мужа, почему такой грустный мол.

And so, for the third time, she sent her husband to the edge of the sea.

Также жена отправила мужа к берегу моря.

How much hay there is accumulated, the sheep will be walking around but don't eat it, and although there's food behind him, the shepherd won't be able to turn around to eat.

Там овцы буду ходить туда-сюда и не есть траву, какая бы рослая он ни была, хотя за спиной есть пища, пастух не будет успевать ее кушать.

And when you go further from there, you will find a man with holy water in his hands, but he won't drink it.

Когда оттуда дальше пойдешь, найдешь одного человека, который не может пить священную воду, хотя она в его руках.

And when you go further, you will find a white stone.

Оттуда дальше еще пойдешь, и ты найдешь белый камень.

After you have moved it aside and went below it, you will see a big hole, and inside you will see your mother sitting there.

Отодвинешь его в сторону, пойдешь снизу увидишь большую яму, зайдешь туда внутрь и там найдешь сидящую маму.
