Жена интересовалась, что же все-таки случилось, он рассказал, что не нашел рынок и, не желая обратно привести, ягненка привязал в развалинах, которых нашел по дороге и вернулся.

The next day, even before it got morning, he went to get the lamb which was tied to the ruin, and the young brother found nothing but bones.

At this time, a big hole appeared somewhere in the ruin.

Without thinking much, the crow let its voice caw and the piece of meat fell down out of his mouth.

The fox then jumped and took it away and ate it, thanked the crow and went on his way.

Лиса быстро проскочила, прихватила мясо, поблагодарила ворону и пошла дальше по своей дороге.

The rooster always brought wet firewood, and it was difficult for the hen to light a fire with it.

Всегда петух привозил мокрые дрова, а курице было тяжело (топить печь) их сжечь.

When the hen scolded: "Why have you brought wet firewood again, today?", the rooster answered that he slept in.

Когда курица ругала, почему сегодня тоже ты взял мокрые дрова, петух всегда отвечал, что я проспал.

The rooster went to the river and after shouting "Tsiwliwit!" three times, a frog appeared out of the water, saying "witwish".

Подходя к реке когда петух три раза призывал «цивли-вит», из воды говоря «вит-виш» вынырнула лягушка.

Remembering what they were saying, the hen left them where they where and returned home to do her work.

Запомнив все то, что они сказали, и оставив их между собой там же, курица обратно вернулась домой и приступила делать свою работу.

At night, when the rooster came back bringing this wet firewood again, the hen asked:

К вечеру, когда петух пришел с такими же мокрыми дровами, курица спросила, ...

When she came to the river, she shouted "tsiwliwit" three times.

Она дошла до реки и три раза кричала «цивли-вит».

After the frog appeared and said "witwish", the hen struck its eye out with her beak and with a second hit broke its leg.

Появилась лягушка и когда она три раза «вит-виш» сказала, курица ударила ее клювом и выколола глаз, второй раз ударила и сломала ногу.

The hen found dry firewood and brought it back home with her.

Курица нашла сухие дрова и обратно домой вернулась.

Without saying anything to the hen, the next day the rooster went to the frog, shouted "tsiwliwit" three times, and the frog appeared saying "witwish", with a broken leg and a missing eye.

На следующий день, курице ничего не сказав, петух пошла к лягушке и три раза произнесла «цивли-вит». Появилась лягушка, говоря «вит-виш» со сломанной ногой и без одного глаза.

"Yesterday your hen came and did this", answered the frog.

Вчера пришла и твоя курица сделала, ответила лягушка.

Without looking for firewood or any other things, he ran off to the hen, had a fight [with her] and broke her leg just like the frog's, seperated from her and went to his own house.

Петух не глядя на дрова и другие вещи, бегом пошел подрался с курицей и, подобно лягушке, поломал ей ногу, отгородился (ушел) от нее и начал жить в своем доме.

The rooster gave his word, that he would not go to her anymore, and since he begged so much, the hen let him home.

Петух дал ей твердое слово, что больше не пойду к ней. Раз столько умолял, курица пустила его домой.

At the end of my call for the prayer, an eagle came and took me away to a far place and threw me into a very beautiful garden.
