When the boy came back home after his journey of two weeks and three days, he shouted to his mother from outside: "Let that girl tether my horse!"

When the mother asked: "Is she the girl with the golden ring?", the boy looked at her silently and lead her into the room upstairs to let her look at the girl.

Когда мама спросила, она что ли мол та девушка с золотым кольцом, сын молча повел маму на верхний этаж, чтобы показать девушку.

After that, the rich man spread the word, that he would give one bull to the person, who would be able to make these bulls work.

Затем богатый человек посылал везде всюду весть, кто приучит их к работе, тому он даст одного быка.

And the rich man sent the two bulls to this boy.

Богатый человек отправил с ним обоих быков.

Soon the boy finished plowing his own and the wealthy man's fields, and they even began to plough those of the neighbours.

Юноша быстро вспахал свой и богатого человека участки, уже начали пахать даже у соседей.

After that, the story that the boy taught the bulls to work and is now plowing all the fields, got to the rich man.

Тогда весть дошла до богатого человека, что юноша приучил их к работе и заканчивает пахать земли.

Then that very same rich man spread the story everywhere, that he would marry his daughter off to the man who would teach her how to work.

Затем тот же богатый человек посылал везде, всюду весть, кто приучит мою дочь к работе, я выдам ее за того мол.

After a while, that poor boy appeared[, saying]: "I will teach her how to work."

Через некоторое время появляется тот же самый бедный человек, мол я приучу ее к работе.

The next day the wedding was arranged and the girl was - as this man had told - married off to the intelligent though poor boy.

На следующий день, сыграли свадьбу, как сказал тот человек, и выдал свою дочь за бедного, но мудрого юношу.

"What things on earth are as abundant as it [i.e. water]?", the boy [said and] jumped up and went to the place were the food and the waterskin is was, and beat down the stick that his wife had given him.

Есть ли в мире много вещей, чем тот (вода) мол, юноша выскочил, пошел на место, где он упрятал бурдюки и еду, ударил палкой, данную ему женой.

He pulled out a skin filled with water and gave it to them to drink.

Вытащил один бурдюк с водой и дал им пить.

After they disappered into the distance, they told themselves: "We will buy that stick from this boy for half of the gold on the camels; it will be such a relieve for us! [why?]", they would say(?), "Why would we be anymore sad, if, when we are thirsty, we hit it and water appears for drinking; and when we are hungry, we get food that way."

Как отошли в ту сторону, они говорили между собой, мол пол золота, находящееся на верблюде, отдадим и купим у него палку, потому что во время жажды, голода при его ударе если появится вода и еда, больше какая у нас еще беда может быть.

They sent back the eldest of them, because "the boy would listen well to him."

Они отправили обратно самого старшего из них, мол юноша хорошо будет слушаться его.

When the eldest man went and told him what he wanted, the boy pretended to be not wanting to give it to him at first: "When I sold you the stick, will I remain hungry and thirsty?"

Пошел старший человек, спросил его то, о чем хотел и сначала делал вид, что не хочет дать, мол дам я эту палку вам и сам буду голодать и жаждать что ли.

The boy whom the people called "the dumb one", gave his wooden stick away for five camels packed with the prettiest clothings, then he got on his way to the village.

Юноша, которого люди обзывали болваном, в обмен на деревянную палку достал груженные лучшей одеждой пять верблюдов, погнал их впереди и отправился в путь в село.

"Show it!", [they said and] when they insisted heavily, the man lying on the burka said: "When you hold my cap while I will go away and come back, I will show you the thing that is here."

Когда они очень настаивали, мол покажи, человек, лежавший на бурке, сказал, если до моего возвращения оттуда вы будете держать эту шапку мол, я вам покажу то, что здесь находится.

"I will give all your things back to you, if you give me back my magic wand," answered the boy them.

Я ваши вещи все возвращу вам, если вы тоже вернете мне мою волшебную палочку мол, ответил юноша.

The two sat down and when they had finished eating, the boy filled the glass he found in the fish's mouth with water and gave it to her to drink.

Сели в двоем и после того как закончили кушать, юноша дал ей полный стакан воды, который им был найден во рту рыбы.

In one place, where the river spread out, the wooden chest with the princess inside got to a woman.

На одном месте, где вода текла широко, сундук, где была царевна нашла женщина.

One day, the girl let the woman who had become her mother sell the ring that she took off her finger on the market.

Однажды девушка вынула с своего пальца кольцо и отправила названную мать на базара, чтобы ее продавать.

The girl said: "When you put this saddle on, seat me on it and you go from one corner of the village to another, the glass of gold will be yours."

Девушка сказала, если ты пойдешь из одного угла села в другой с седлом на верху, посадив меня там, то стакан золота твой будет мол.

In the neighboring forest, there was some old people's farmstead with a heard of sheep, but they didn't have a child.

Там вблизи у стариков был хутор и отара овец, но у них не было детей.

The oldest one, who was on the farmstead, had a goat in his herd which gave birth to two goat kids.

У стариков, живущих на хуторе, в отаре овец была одна коза, которая родила двух козлят.

It was giving milk to the boy who was put into the forest by the merchants.

Она кормила молоком мальчика, которого оставили в лесу купцы.

The old people went, took the boy out of the leaves and brought him home.

Пошли старики извлекли из-под листьев мальчика и привели домой.

The oldest ones were very glad and gave him the name Tabuldi.

Старики очень обрадовались и дали ему имя Табулди.

The old people and Tabuldi lived together like a family in the forest and lead a beautiful life in the nature and made a fortune.

Старики и Табулди как одна семья жили красиво среди природы и вели хозяйство.

"When you go again, tell your father that you have seen it in a dream: He shall throw it upward and when it comes down again, the iron stick's heavier side will turn downward and get stuck in the earth."

Как придешь отсюда, скажи отцу мол, что ты видела во сне, если железную палку бросить на верх и когда опуститься вниз, то тяжелая часть повернется книзу, даже может вонзиться в землю.

The king threw the stick into the air and it got stuck in the earth with the heavy side, then he wrote a letter writing where the stick is heavy and where it is light, and sent the stick back to the king from the neighboring country.

"When you go out, - I saw it in a dream -", he told him(?), "leave the two pigeons hungry for 3 days, then, after you throw food onto them, the male pigeon will turn around until the female pigeon has finished eating."

The king left those pigeons hungry for three days, and when he fed them, the male one turned around until the female one had finished eating.

Afterwards the male one ate as well.

On the next day, the neighboring king had two horses be brought to him, [saying:] "If you don't know how to find out which of them is young and which is old, I will make war on you!"

"When you go, say to your father that I saw it in a dream: Although you feed those horses for three days, you don't give them water to drink, then you lead them over the water into a river; the young horse will go to the middle to drink water, the old one will drink from the riverbank instead."

The king didn't give these horses water, but fed them for three days, then he let them onto the water and the young horse went into the middle and the old one drank from the riverbank; on that day, he sent them back, writing a letter[ stating]: "This one is old.", "This one is young."

Having fulfilled the three tasks that were put before him, the other king led an army against this king to go fighting.

Having heard this, the boy, who was riding on the bull-calf, turned into a pigeon, flew away and sat down on the princess' window.

Afterwards, he told everything that happened and the king asked for the water-drinking-glass that he wanted.

The girl took the golden glass and gave it to him.

There, the king gathered his viziers, and when he asked: "Who again brought this golden glass of mine?", that vizier appeared and said: "Haven't I brought it?"

She put the feather that fell from that pigeon onto her father's hat, and threw the golden whool that fell from the ram onto the chest and asked: "Daddy, does it fit?"

Перо, которое уронил голубь, вколола в шапку отца, а шерсть, которая повалилась с барана, бросил на грудь, и спросила, папа, подходит ли мол.

The king cut off the vizier's head, arranged a big wedding and gave his daughter to the boy who brought him his glass.

Царь отсек голову визира, сыграл большую свадьбу и выдал дочь за того, кто нес ему стакан.

When they became hungry on their way, the first ate up the good friend's food.
