They had one son.

У них был один сын.

25003. Žan zown małiru risxanusi, t’ubaraw ʕaq’lus anusi iłe. ⇫ ¶

And he was disobedient and had a defective mind.

Он тоже был непослушный, неполноценного ума.

25004. Sidakin kidbä nesix yik’anix roži teƛxo zownanu. ⇫ ¶

Not even one girl promised to marry him.

Ни одна девушка не соглашалась дать ему слово выйти за него.

25005. Sistow sis kid nesix yik’anix razi yoqno. ⇫ ¶

One single girl [finally] agreed to come to him.

Одна единственная девушка (наконец) согласилась выйти за него.

25006. Žan eni-babiya yegirxo zown anu, ac yaɣˤoƛin eƛinäy yuqixosi, q’ˤida ičiƛin eƛinäy hečk’er izixozo ʕadalaw užix łinar mi yik’ix, žannan eluq kika ayƛin. ⇫ ¶

But her parents didn't let her go; [saying] "Why do you want to marry a stupid boy who when you say 'Open the door!', would close it, and when you say 'Sit down!', would get up? We will have to feed him as well."

Ее тоже родители не выдавали, если скажешь открой дверь, закрывающая, если скажешь садись, встающая зачем мол ты выходишь за болвана, его тоже нам придется содержать.

25007. Didiwgon ža oqłin di nesix yik’ixƛin, kid yet’un k’oƛin yičin. ⇫ ¶

"No matter what happens to him, I will go to him!," the girl [said and] ran away.

Девушка была полна решимости, мол какой бы он не был выхожу за него.

25008. Kʷaxatow bertenno boyn yedu kid nesi žoyä yižin. ⇫ ¶

Soon they celebrated their wedding and the boy took the girl with him.

Вскоре сыграли свадьбу и эту девушку взял тот юноша.

25009. Hič’č’a adäzaytow soder eni- babiwde idu zawru yisä yisis ʕamal boda oqno, dicegon bara eƛiłin ya qaca ret’urxo zownanu, ya łi rowa ik’ix zownanu, ya q’ˤuya iduzo ħalt’oqor utin ezux zownanu. ⇫ ¶

Right from the beginning he started to behave like in the house of his parents; how much his wife would say, he neither hacked firewood, nor did he go and bring water, nor did he do look for or did any other housework.

С первых же дней он начал вести себя как дома у родителей, сколько бы жена не сказала ни дров не рубил, ни за водой не ходил, ни другую домашнюю работу не выполнял.

25010. Sida quł bara yeda išrinč’ey quqa xecin. ⇫ ¶

One day the wife didn't prepare food for him and left him hungry.

В один день жена не кормила и оставила его голодным.

25011. Xediya bišʷa esirnosi, sosi iduzasi ħalt’i bodo, xizyo bišʷa din rodanƛin, yiła harihun tarbiya mołix zown nesiq. ⇫ ¶

When the husband asked for food, she slowly taught him some upbringing: "First you do the housework, afterwards I'll prepare the food!"

Она постепенно воспитывала его, когда муж спросил кушать, сначала делай домашние работы, потом я тоже готовлю мол кушать.

25012. Yiła harihun hemedur sis roda t’amizi odin, sis mołin, sis eƛin, eynodaniƛ’orno, izi-utaniƛ’orno kuczi odin kurno. ⇫ ¶

So she thus slowly forced him to do something, taught him something, told him something one, and taught him to toil and to work.

Она, таким образом, потихоньку заставила его одно делать, к одному учила, об одном рассказала и в конце, научила его трудиться и умению трудиться.

25013. Sida quł yiła yeda xediw nesiztow eni-babiwdäɣor ižin. ⇫ ¶

One day she went to his parents with her husband.

Однажды она повела мужа к его же родителям.

25014. Idur baynosi, yiła nesiq žeduƛ’osi qaca ret’urerno, xizyogon łäxor egirno, didiw zawru, didiw mežus di uži odäƛin. ⇫ ¶

Having come home, she let him hack the firewood, sent him to get water [and said]: "How was your son and what have I made out of him?"

Пришли домой и она понудила его рубить за них дрова, затем послал за водой, мол какой был ваш сын и каким я его сделала.

25015. Małiru šebin risxo zawnč’uru, didurtow debeq yeda nediw oqäƛin, tamaša boqno ƛexun eni-babiw. ⇫ ¶

His parents were astonished [and asked]: "How could he become like this through you(?) when he didn't take any explanations?"

Его родители удивились, как ты смогла его сделать таким, тогда когда не брал то, к чему его обучали.

25016. Žaz bara eƛin, bercingo eƛi- mołinäy posukin ʕenekizi roqxonč’eƛin. ⇫ ¶

His wife said: "If you teach well, even animals will listen."

Жена сына сказал, если хорошо обучать, воспитать даже животные послушаются мол.

25017. Boƛƛo zaman bik’inosi, bara xediw bet’erbaqi boda ik’anix muk’ur oyn. ⇫ ¶

After some time has passed, the wife confessed that she went to live with her husband.

Прошло некоторое время, жена убедила пойти мужа на заработки.

25018. Hunixor yisä łäs q’ˤano sikno eqerno, bišʷan erno, kumakyorgon, ħaƛirxo ik’anix, xizay k’oƛin yayn bara hibon teƛno. ⇫ ¶

He put two waterskins onto the way, packed some food, and came running behind in order to go put(?), when his wife came running behind him and gave him a stick to go with, which he should put down for help.

На дорогу он поставил два бурдюка воды, положил еду и бегом вдогонку пришла жена и отдала палку в помощь для упора.

25019. Saparyox oqno, qˤašdes zaman baynosi, yeda sida ɣunoƛ rešt’izi oqno. ⇫ ¶

He went on the journey, and when it was time for lunch, he took a rest under a tree.

Наступил обеденное время с момента выхода в путешествие и он остановился под одним деревом.

25020. Elo ɣeduƛ q’ˤida ičäsi yałzay, yisir taqˤaza oc’ino ħumukulin bown hemeł buħima nexxo oc’ino žek’u ukayn. ⇫ ¶

While he was sitting in the shade, he saw ten men with ten camels coming in the heat.

Когда он там под тенью сидел, на той стороне он увидел в такой жаре идущих десять человек с десятью верблюдами.

25021. Žedu nexxo bukayrun, suƛƛi yisä gondun yič’in elo teł q’ˤanon sikno, bišʷan eqerno ƛ’irir č’edo rayrno ičin. ⇫ ¶

When he saw them coming, he immediately dug a hole, put his food and his two waterskins inside, put earth over it and sat down.

Когда он подходящих увидел их, вдруг он копал яму, поставил туда два бурдюка, еду, закрыл землей и сидел.

25022. Zamanałäy yizi yeda rešt’izi aqza mečoƛ’or ačqˤayx, mekoyxno bayn, salamno teƛno žaq ħaƛanir łi esirno, deber ela micxir neƛanƛin. ⇫ ¶

After a while, they were thirsty and hungry and came to where he was resting, saluted him and asked the boy for some water to drink: "We will give you some money."

Через некоторое время голодные жаждущие пришли на место его остановки, дали приветствие и спросили воду, мол мы тебе деньги дадим.

25023. Nełacegon ħarzayaw dunyalƛ’o šebin šebi yołƛin, uži et’un q’ˤidayn k’oƛin sikrebin, bišʷan raqˤru mečoƛ’orno ik’in, bara teƛno zawruni hibo bok’no. ⇫ ¶

"What things on earth are as abundant as it [i.e. water]?", the boy [said and] jumped up and went to the place were the food and the waterskin is was, and beat down the stick that his wife had given him.

Есть ли в мире много вещей, чем тот (вода) мол, юноша выскочил, пошел на место, где он упрятал бурдюки и еду, ударил палкой, данную ему женой.

25024. Sisini łäs ric’alini sikno roƛik’no, žeduqor ħaƛa teƛno. ⇫ ¶

He pulled out a skin filled with water and gave it to them to drink.

Вытащил один бурдюк с водой и дал им пить.

25025. Dahowtow łi žeda elo teł xecin. ⇫ ¶

They only left little water inside.

Они немного оставили воду там внутри.

25026. Encegon elo neside mušin begirno, ader ħumukulibin roɣno, hunix yizin boqno. ⇫ ¶

They rested with him there for a little while and then began to drive on their camels and got on their way.

Еще чуть-чуть они там с ним отдохнули, погнали вперед верблюд и отправились в путь.

25027. Bitaɣor bok’äłrun, žeda žeduƛ xabarno boqno, ħumukulizaƛ’osini boƛik’u mesed teƛno yołin howža hibo bisan nesi žaqay, nełas elur beže raħat biča yoł, šidaƛin eƛiłiri ačqˤaynosi ža bak’za ħaƛanix łin roƛixnäy, mekoynosigon hemedurtow bišʷan riqinäy, t’ok’ow elur q’ʷˤariłi łinasƛin. ⇫ ¶

After they disappered into the distance, they told themselves: "We will buy that stick from this boy for half of the gold on the camels; it will be such a relieve for us! [why?]", they would say(?), "Why would we be anymore sad, if, when we are thirsty, we hit it and water appears for drinking; and when we are hungry, we get food that way."

Как отошли в ту сторону, они говорили между собой, мол пол золота, находящееся на верблюде, отдадим и купим у него палку, потому что во время жажды, голода при его ударе если появится вода и еда, больше какая у нас еще беда может быть.

25028. Žeda žedułäy xizo-q’ˤimer utirno, nesiqor ig ža uži ʕenekizi aqƛin, hič’č’an eženi žek’u egirno. ⇫ ¶

They sent back the eldest of them, because "the boy would listen well to him."

Они отправили обратно самого старшего из них, мол юноша хорошо будет слушаться его.

25029. Ik’in eženi žek’a nesir rätiru łinałäyn yisiq esinosi, yeda uži sosisi teƛa rätinč’irus riłen zown, yedu hibon teƛno di mekoyxno, ačqˤayxnoyä ičanƛin. ⇫ ¶

When the eldest man went and told him what he wanted, the boy pretended to be not wanting to give it to him at first: "When I sold you the stick, will I remain hungry and thirsty?"

Пошел старший человек, спросил его то, о чем хотел и сначала делал вид, что не хочет дать, мол дам я эту палку вам и сам буду голодать и жаждать что ли.

25030. Xizyo royn ičäsi hudun muk’ur oqno uži, neł hiboreƛ q’aymos bic’äsit’a łeno ħumukuli neƛanƛin bazarganä eƛinosi. ⇫ ¶

Then the boy agreed nevertheless, when the merchant said that he would give him the load from 5 camels for the stick.

Потом этот юноша все равно согласился, когда купец сказал, что дадим пять верблюдов груженные товаром.

25031. Xalq’imo ʕadalawniƛ’ ayrxo zawruni žoyä, qaciz hiboreƛ łenon riguƛ’ay rigut’a šeƛ’ures bic’äsi ħumukulin ader boɣno, ʕaƛaɣorƛin hunix oqno. ⇫ ¶

The boy whom the people called "the dumb one", gave his wooden stick away for five camels packed with the prettiest clothings, then he got on his way to the village.

Юноша, которого люди обзывали болваном, в обмен на деревянную палку достал груженные лучшей одеждой пять верблюдов, погнал их впереди и отправился в путь в село.

25032. Bazarganbin boxin biłe bik’in nełzaqay, hibo boɣanix hoboyä hik’eyä uži xizay oƛixxoƛin. ⇫ ¶

And the merchants went away from there hastily, [being afraid that] sooner or later this boy might appear behind them to take the stick away.

Купцы тоже поспешили уйти с тех мест, боясь, что рано или поздно тот юноша придет за ними отобрать палку.

25033. ʕUraw raƛ’-močin xecin bitaɣor bok’ełnosi, žedu nasin neł hiboƛ’ rok’u sida goga rešt’izi boqno. ⇫ ¶

When they had left many a place behind them and went far into the distance, they all took a rest on a meadow with their minds on that stick.

Оставив позади много мест, пошли дальше они все остановились (на отдых) на одном поле надеясь на палку.

25034. Žedułäy sida hibon bisno, ence ačqˤa rexuranix łin ħaƛan, meko rexuranixgon buyn bišanƛin, raƛ’moƛ’ uti-utix bok’no. ⇫ ¶

One of them took the stick and beated and turned it on the ground in order to eat a little to kill his hunger and drink some water to kill his thirst.

Один из них взял палку и ударил несколько раз, мол немного попью воду жажду утолить и покушаю мол утолить голод.

25035. Siskin šebin roƛixinč’izaƛ’, ža hibo žeda becu-becurxon boɣno, užił xizay k’oƛin, nesir täƛru šebin xizor rutireranƛin. ⇫ ¶

Because nothing would appear, they broke the stick, ran behin the boy wanting to return it to him for the things they had given to him.

Ничего не появилось, эту палку они переломали и побежали за юношей, чтобы вернуть то, что ему дали.

25036. Yeda uži regirno adäz ħumukulibin ʕaƛoxar ik’iƛ’orey, hunix nesił mešizaxosi aħo c’oxno. ⇫ ¶

While the boy was driving his camels ahead into a village, he met a shepherd with some calves on the way.

Выгоняя впереди верблюдов юноша шел в село и он по дороге встречает пастуха телят.

25037. Ħumukuliƛ’ ƛ’iräy riguƛ’ay rigu šeƛ’un roɣno, žan aħoziqor teƛno eƛin, nagaħ howt’aza oc’ino žek’un, łeno waranin boƛixnäy, šebi roynon žedu mi ričok’ƛin. ⇫ ¶

Having pulled the prettiest clothings from the camel, he gave it to the shepherd and said: "When suddenly there appear ten men with five camels, do something to detain them."

Стянул с верблюда лучшую одежду, отдал ее пастуху и сказал, если отсюда появятся десять человек и пять верблюдов, каким-нибудь образом ты их задержи.

25038. Dahawgon ik’inosi neside guluzaxosi aħo keze oqno. ⇫ ¶

When he went a little further, a shepherd with horses came towards him.

Чуть дальше пошел, встречает пастух коней.

25039. Nesirno howžatow sayɣatno boyn, hemedurtow nesiqorno eƛin. ⇫ ¶

To him he gave the same present and said the same thing.

Ему тоже делал такой же подарок и так же сказал.

25040. Xizyogon ža uži butnoƛ’ pun bok’no äčiru žek’uder ayn. ⇫ ¶

Then the boy came to a man who was lying on his burka.

Затем он пришел к человеку, который лежал на бурке.

25041. Nesirno aħozizar bayru biłetow sayɣatno boyn, bazarganbi howt’aza boƛixnäy, beč’er žeduƛin harizin rodin, roc’no adäz łenon ħumukulibin ʕaƛaɣor esʷałno yedan ik’in. ⇫ ¶

And he also gave to him the same present as to the shepherds who had come, and begged him: "When merchants appear over there, stop them!"; then he urged the five camels forward and hastily went into the village.

Ему тоже сделал такой же подарок как чабанам и попросил задержать купцов, если они оттуда пройдут. А сам поспешно шел домой гоняя впереди пять верблюдов.

25042. Bazarganbi mešizaxozo aħoderno bayn esirno nesiq, howt’aza bitor łeno ħumukulin bižin ik’ix žek’u ukaynč’a deberƛin. ⇫ ¶

The merchants came to the shepherd with the calves and asked him: "Have you seen a man leading five camels going there?"

Купцы пришли к пастуху телят и спросили его, не видел ли ты человека, идущего отсюда дальше, с пятью верблюдами мол.

25043. Buħi baqruntow yizi mešibi iduɣor raxiƛin, žawab boyn aħa žedur. ⇫ ¶

"Just when it gets hot, these calves will run home", the shepherd answered them.

Сразу после дождя эти телята убегут домой мол, ответил им пастух.

25044. Bazarganbi sosigon ƛ’iri butin eƛin, debeq ela mešizałäy esirxanu, łeno waranin bižin ik’ix žek’u c’oxinč’a debełƛin esirxo. ⇫ ¶

The merchants insisted on it again and said: "We're not asking you about the calves, we're asking you if you haven't met a man leading five camels."

Купцы еще раз настаивая сказали, мы тебя про телят не спрашиваем мол, не встретил ли ты человека с пятью верблюдами.

25045. Mešizaxozo eƛin, buq bäturuntow muqno caƛin yizi mešibi ʕaƛaɣor rik’ixosiƛin. ⇫ ¶

The one with the calves said: "Right after the sun sets, " ...

Телятник сказал, сразу после захода солнца эти телята линией оправляются в село.

25046. Yisä eli baƛ’irxoƛin žedu ʕaƛoxarno bezun bik’in. ⇫ ¶

"He's deceiving us," they [said and] went to look toward the village.

Он нас мол обманывает, они пошли глядя в сторону села.

25047. Bazarganbi guluzaxozo aħozider baynosi, nesiqayn hemedurtow bayan bisno, t’aza ħumukulibin roc’no ik’ix debełi sis uži c’oxinč’aƛin. ⇫ ¶

When the merchants came to the shepherd with the horses, they wanted to take his information, if

Когда купцы пришли к пастуху коней, у него также уточняли, не встречал ли юношу, идущего отсюда с пятью верблюдами.
