When they were coming back with a bundle of firewood in the evening and the mother said: "The bundle is too heavy for me", the daughters said: "Take a thick bunch of firewood and throw it out."

She put the bundle down, and the thickest piece of firewood that she threw down, turned into a snake, which didn't stay behind, but followed them.

Not knowing what to do anymore, the mother asked her eldest daughter first, if she would go to the snake; she rejected: "I won't go."; then she talked to the middle daughter, who also disagreed.

Не зная больше что делать, мать спросила старшую дочь, выходишь ли ты за змею мол, когда она отказалась, не выхожу мол, сказала средней и та не согласилась.

When she asked the youngest daughter, she said to her mother: "I'm ready to do whatever you say, whenever you want."

From then on, the snake went ahead with the daughter following it, until it came to the snake's house.

20009. Zamanałäy yizi sidaɣ q’ˤunader huni č’ˤaƛäłza mečoƛ’or baynosi, sidaɣaza hunä kid yegirno, sidaɣaza bikori bik’in. ⇫ ¶

When, after a while, they came to a point where the road forked, the snake sent the girl the one way and itself went the other one.

There she found a handsome boy sitting at a table.

20012. Ħayran yoqno yezun ƛexun kid, moƛałä yedu di yaqˤułƛin. ⇫ ¶

The girl was surprised and remained looking (at him), "Is this day a dream?"

After a year, they got a son.

Afterwards, the girl wanted to go to her mother and her sisters.

20017. Haq’udär yik’anix xedyoqay izmu esirnosi, nesägon łˤora becän yičin, hulon rexurno horoƛin yegirno. ⇫ ¶

When she asked her husband for permission to go to her family, he let her go with the words: "You may stay three months, then, after [you killed the boredom(?)] come back!"

The eldest sister carried the boy.

When the boy's mother asked: "Why does he cry?", she said: "He wants your scarf."

When the boy's mother, saying "I will pick this flower", went to the bank of the sea and bowed down, the eldest sister pushed her into the sea, took the boy and went to the younger sister's home.

The small boy grew up, and soon he became a young man.

Маленький мальчик повзрослел, и чуть было не стал юношей.

He climbed up the mountain and sent the cows onto the grass, and when he sat down to take a breath, a bird appeared out of nowhere and told him in human language:

I didn't give birth to you to have you pasture the cows.

On that day, the boy lost the cows.

20048. Šida ɣuro kamiräƛin, babiya dahaw ʕedeʕizi oynosi, moƛa iqirno ƛexun diƛin, babiwq heresi mec yesa bayn. ⇫ ¶

"Why have you lost the cows?", the father scolded a little, so he had to tell his father the lie the he had fallen asleep.

After coming home, having lost the cows again now, the father scolded.

"So, a bird arrived in front of me and talked in human language, saying: 'I didn't give birth to you to have you pasture the cows. But now there's nothing to do.', and escaped out of sight.

While the father and the son where going up the mountain, the bird appeard in a tree again, and after it talked, the father said:

After he had said this, it jumped up and ran [flew] off the tree and came into the father's hand.

The older sister said "He found something!", let the bird out of the coop and threw it on the ground, so he turned into a pair of scissors.

"This is what I need!", the older sister said, took up the scissors and put them to the clothings in her wardrobe.

20066. Qˤirič’yogon k’emot’ya teł zawru nasin šeƛ’u t’it’i-reč’no. ⇫ ¶

But the pair of scissors cut all the clothes that were inside the wardrobe into pieces.
