After a while, a boy from a poor family came to him and said: "If you send them to me, I'll teach them how to work."

Через некоторое время к нему пришел один юноша из бедной семьи и сказал, мол я приучу, если вы отправите их со мной.

After that, the story that the boy taught the bulls to work and is now plowing all the fields, got to the rich man.

Тогда весть дошла до богатого человека, что юноша приучил их к работе и заканчивает пахать земли.

He invited the boy for dinner, thanked him thoroughly, gave him one bull and let him go.

Он пригласил к себе на торжественную еду юношу, выразил ему большую благодарность, дал ему быка и отпустил.

Then that very same rich man spread the story everywhere, that he would marry his daughter off to the man who would teach her how to work.

Затем тот же богатый человек посылал везде, всюду весть, кто приучит мою дочь к работе, я выдам ее за того мол.

After a while, that poor boy appeared[, saying]: "I will teach her how to work."

Через некоторое время появляется тот же самый бедный человек, мол я приучу ее к работе.

The boy took the girl home and in the early morning, when everyone got up from their sleeps, he said: "Mother, if you go to weed the potatoes, she will do the housework and I will go into the forest."

Этот юноша привел эту девушку домой, утром когда все встали, сказал, мама ты идешь картошку прополоть, она домашние (работы) сделает, а я пойду в лес.

By the evening, when everyone has finished their works and returned home, they told each other about the work they did.

К вечеру все работы закончили, пришли домой и рассказывали друг другу о сделанных работах.

The mother said, she weeded the potatoes; the boy said: "I prepared firewood for the winter."; and the girl couldn't find anything to tell, because she had done nothing.

Мама сказала, мол прополола картошку, сын рассказал, что он на зиму подготовил дрова, девушка не нашла что рассказать, потому что она ничего не сделала.

The next day, mother and son left the girl at home again to do the work, while they were going to do their own work.

На следующий день тоже оставив девушку работать дома, мать и сын пошли на свои работы.

Before they came back home in the evening, the girl cleaned up and sweeped the house, prepared something nice to eat and waited for them.

Пока они к вечеру не вернулись домой, девушка убирала, подмела, готовила хорошую пищу и ждала их прибытие.

The father was very much delighted finding his daughter who loved working so much.

Отец очень обрадовался, когда привили у его дочери любовь к труду.

The next day the wedding was arranged and the girl was - as this man had told - married off to the intelligent though poor boy.

На следующий день, сыграли свадьбу, как сказал тот человек, и выдал свою дочь за бедного, но мудрого юношу.

Soon they celebrated their wedding and the boy took the girl with him.

Вскоре сыграли свадьбу и эту девушку взял тот юноша.

Right from the beginning he started to behave like in the house of his parents; how much his wife would say, he neither hacked firewood, nor did he go and bring water, nor did he do look for or did any other housework.

С первых же дней он начал вести себя как дома у родителей, сколько бы жена не сказала ни дров не рубил, ни за водой не ходил, ни другую домашнюю работу не выполнял.

When the husband asked for food, she slowly taught him some upbringing: "First you do the housework, afterwards I'll prepare the food!"

Она постепенно воспитывала его, когда муж спросил кушать, сначала делай домашние работы, потом я тоже готовлю мол кушать.

So she thus slowly forced him to do something, taught him something, told him something one, and taught him to toil and to work.

Она, таким образом, потихоньку заставила его одно делать, к одному учила, об одном рассказала и в конце, научила его трудиться и умению трудиться.

Having come home, she let him hack the firewood, sent him to get water [and said]: "How was your son and what have I made out of him?"

Пришли домой и она понудила его рубить за них дрова, затем послал за водой, мол какой был ваш сын и каким я его сделала.

After some time has passed, the wife confessed that she went to live with her husband.

Прошло некоторое время, жена убедила пойти мужа на заработки.

Then the boy agreed nevertheless, when the merchant said that he would give him the load from 5 camels for the stick.

Потом этот юноша все равно согласился, когда купец сказал, что дадим пять верблюдов груженные товаром.

Having pulled the prettiest clothings from the camel, he gave it to the shepherd and said: "When suddenly there appear ten men with five camels, do something to detain them."

Стянул с верблюда лучшую одежду, отдал ее пастуху и сказал, если отсюда появятся десять человек и пять верблюдов, каким-нибудь образом ты их задержи.

To him he gave the same present and said the same thing.

Ему тоже делал такой же подарок и так же сказал.

And he also gave to him the same present as to the shepherds who had come, and begged him: "When merchants appear over there, stop them!"; then he urged the five camels forward and hastily went into the village.

Ему тоже сделал такой же подарок как чабанам и попросил задержать купцов, если они оттуда пройдут. А сам поспешно шел домой гоняя впереди пять верблюдов.

"Just when it gets hot, these calves will run home", the shepherd answered them.

Сразу после дождя эти телята убегут домой мол, ответил им пастух.

He replied: "Although you do what[ever?](?), I won't show you what I got under the cap."

Он ответил, что бы вы не сделаете, я вам не покажу то, что находится под шапкой.

They were living from fishing.

Они жили за счет рыб.

He took two fish and cleaned them, and when he took the third one, he found a hole in its gullet.

Взяли и почистили две рыбы, когда чистили третью в ее пищеводе нашли дырку.

When he examined it better, he found a broken glass.

Посмотрели как следует, и во рту рыбы нашли застрявшего стакана.

When they saw the fish, they begged the boy: "Give them to us!"

Увидев у юноши рыбы, они попросили, дай нам мол.

The population of this village there made a living from the wood brought along the river.

Жители этого села жили за счет дров, которых несла река.

(The daughter put a saddle on it, which one could open and close).

(Задолго до этого девушка соорудила седло, которого можно закрывать или открывать).

The king thought: "If I get the glass filled with gold, why not put a saddle on and seat the girl on it."

Царь подумал, если получу стакан золота, почему бы нельзя поставить на верху (на спине) седло и посадить туда девушку.

After quite some time has passed, the boy brought his parents and with the help of the glass, he built a pretty house near the king's [place], and without having to worry about anything, they led a life in beauty.

Не прошло много времени, юноша привел родителей, с помощью стакана рядом с царским построил хороший дом и без особых беспокойств продолжали жить красиво.

When they came to a forest, the boy began to cry.

Когда дошли до леса, мальчик начал плакать.

The oldest one, who was on the farmstead, had a goat in his herd which gave birth to two goat kids.

У стариков, живущих на хуторе, в отаре овец была одна коза, которая родила двух козлят.

The shepherd examined closely, where this goat escaped to.

Пастух хорошенько следил, куда же исчезает эта коза.
