Convinced that she now has learned to work, the boy sent someone to invite the girl's father.

Он убедился, мол теперь она научилась работать, послал человека пригласить отца девушки.

The father was very much delighted finding his daughter who loved working so much.

Отец очень обрадовался, когда привили у его дочери любовь к труду.

But her parents didn't let her go; [saying] "Why do you want to marry a stupid boy who when you say 'Open the door!', would close it, and when you say 'Sit down!', would get up? We will have to feed him as well."

Ее тоже родители не выдавали, если скажешь открой дверь, закрывающая, если скажешь садись, встающая зачем мол ты выходишь за болвана, его тоже нам придется содержать.

Right from the beginning he started to behave like in the house of his parents; how much his wife would say, he neither hacked firewood, nor did he go and bring water, nor did he do look for or did any other housework.

С первых же дней он начал вести себя как дома у родителей, сколько бы жена не сказала ни дров не рубил, ни за водой не ходил, ни другую домашнюю работу не выполнял.

Having come home, she let him hack the firewood, sent him to get water [and said]: "How was your son and what have I made out of him?"

Пришли домой и она понудила его рубить за них дрова, затем послал за водой, мол какой был ваш сын и каким я его сделала.

His parents were astonished [and asked]: "How could he become like this through you(?) when he didn't take any explanations?"

Его родители удивились, как ты смогла его сделать таким, тогда когда не брал то, к чему его обучали.

After some time has passed, the wife confessed that she went to live with her husband.

Прошло некоторое время, жена убедила пойти мужа на заработки.

He pulled out a skin filled with water and gave it to them to drink.

Вытащил один бурдюк с водой и дал им пить.

After they disappered into the distance, they told themselves: "We will buy that stick from this boy for half of the gold on the camels; it will be such a relieve for us! [why?]", they would say(?), "Why would we be anymore sad, if, when we are thirsty, we hit it and water appears for drinking; and when we are hungry, we get food that way."

Как отошли в ту сторону, они говорили между собой, мол пол золота, находящееся на верблюде, отдадим и купим у него палку, потому что во время жажды, голода при его ударе если появится вода и еда, больше какая у нас еще беда может быть.

When the eldest man went and told him what he wanted, the boy pretended to be not wanting to give it to him at first: "When I sold you the stick, will I remain hungry and thirsty?"

Пошел старший человек, спросил его то, о чем хотел и сначала делал вид, что не хочет дать, мол дам я эту палку вам и сам буду голодать и жаждать что ли.

The merchants came to the shepherd with the calves and asked him: "Have you seen a man leading five camels going there?"

Купцы пришли к пастуху телят и спросили его, не видел ли ты человека, идущего отсюда дальше, с пятью верблюдами мол.

When the merchants came to the shepherd with the horses, they wanted to take his information, if

Когда купцы пришли к пастуху коней, у него также уточняли, не встречал ли юношу, идущего отсюда с пятью верблюдами.

"Answer the question we asked you! And who asked you about the horses?", they insisted.

Ты отвечай на вопрос, заданный нами, а кто у тебя про коней спросил мол, настаивали они.

When they had come closer, the merchants asked him: "Have you seen a boy going in this direction driving five camels?"

Когда поближе подошли, купцы спросили их, не видел ли ты юношу, идущего отсюда прогоняя пять верблюдов.

The merchants stopped holding the cap; he, however, went to a place were they couldn't see him, put himself on the burka and waited watching them.

Купцов оставили держать шапку и тот пошел в невидимое им место, лег на бурке и смотрел на них.

Because he really didn't come, they all put their hands under the cap [to see] what oh-so-pretty thing there is, and the took it out full of dirt.

Когда он никак не возвращался, все они пустили туда руки, что тут такое хорошее мол, и вынули полные грязью.

"If you hadn't broken it, you could have brought me back one that were as the one I gave to you, then I would have given you back all your stuff."

Если бы вы не поломав принесли бы мне палку такую же, какую я вам отдал, я тоже мол вернул бы и все отдал бы вам.

One day the son thought: "My father won't always live with me, I need to learn how to catch fish."

В один день сын вспомнил, не будет же всегда со мной жить отец, мне тоже надо научиться поймать рыб мол.

Thinking that the father came to beat him, the boy left the goods where they were and ran away.

She carried it home, opened it and when she looked inside, she found a girl so beautiful that she didn't want to take her eyes off from her.

Забрала он его с собой домой, посмотрела во внутрь и нашла такую красивую девушку, что невозможно было отвести с нее глаз.

From now on, I am your daughter and you are my mother.

Я твоей дочерью, а ты моей мамой будешь отныне мол.

One day, the girl let the woman who had become her mother sell the ring that she took off her finger on the market.

Однажды девушка вынула с своего пальца кольцо и отправила названную мать на базара, чтобы ее продавать.

The girl said: "When you put this saddle on, seat me on it and you go from one corner of the village to another, the glass of gold will be yours."

Девушка сказала, если ты пойдешь из одного угла села в другой с седлом на верху, посадив меня там, то стакан золота твой будет мол.

The king thought: "If I get the glass filled with gold, why not put a saddle on and seat the girl on it."

Царь подумал, если получу стакан золота, почему бы нельзя поставить на верху (на спине) седло и посадить туда девушку.

The girl put the saddle over his back, fastened the strap tightly, and when she put one foot into the saddle to sit down, she said: "It wasn't enough that girl felt in love, did also the father fell in love with that glass of gold?"

Девушка поставила на нем седло, хорошенько затянула ремень, когда одну ногу поставила на седло, чтобы садиться, она сказала, не хватило, что дочь и отец тоже влюбился в стакан золота мол.

They went to a village together to sell articles.

Вместе они пошли для продажи товара в одно село.

When they came to a forest, the boy began to cry.

Когда дошли до леса, мальчик начал плакать.

After a while, the she-goat and the goat kids began to become meager.

Через некоторое время коза и козлята начали истощаться.

The she-goat didn't know what to do anymore and escaped from the herd.

Эта коза из отары не зная куда регулярно исчезала.

He did the Friday's prayer, and went to see where his son went to from the flock of sheep, and when he approached him, he found him asleep.

После пятничной молитвы, когда отец пошел посмотреть, куда же мол этот сын ушел от овец, нашел спокойно спящим.

Then the father replied to the son: "Why do you say this, what did you see in your dream?"

Тут же отец столько настаивал сына, почему ты это сказал, что ты увидел во сне мол.

"If you don't tell, I will sell you to the merchants!", he scared him.

There, the mother went beside him and insisted: "Tell me, what did you see in your dream?"

Тут мама подошла ближе к сыну, настояла, расскажи мне, что ты видел во сне мол.

To his mother he was the same: "I cannot tell you."

Маме тоже также сказал, не могу я рассказать мол.

"Over there, behind the field is water, and there is a fire and firewood, if necessary!", [he said] and when woke up the merchant next to him, he really scolded: "Because you're like this, your parents have given you to us!"

Там за полем находится вода, зажженный огонь, если понадобится и дрова мол, разбудил рядом находящегося купца. А он наоборот поругал (сказал иронией), мол поэтому родители дали тебя нам, из-за того, что ты такой.

After they sat down and ate their bellies full(?), the merchants asked the boy: "Although you are like this, why did your parents give you to us?"

После того, как покушали и сидели наевшие, купцы спросили у мальчика, хотя ты такой, почему родители дали нам тебя мол.

When he had said that to him, they insisted: "When you don't tell us, we will give you to the king."

Как только это он сказал, они настаивали его, если нам тоже не расскажешь, мы тебя дадим царю.

"If you don't find it out, I will start a war against you."

Если ты не узнаешь об этом, я объявлю войну против тебя.

The king became sad and while he hung his head, he didn't lift it up again and didn't know what to do anymore.

Царь огорчился, не зная что делать, не поднимал даже голову, опущенную вниз.

"What happened to you? Even I, who I am in prison, don't moan so much!", the boy wanted to know, and she told him so: "Two pigeons were brought and it remains unknown how to distinguish which of them is male and which is female!"

"There is nothing to be sad about", the boy made the girl's heart happy.

On the next day, the neighboring king had two horses be brought to him, [saying:] "If you don't know how to find out which of them is young and which is old, I will make war on you!"

It was a big hazzle for the king and he didn't know what to do.

"When you go, say to your father that I saw it in a dream: Although you feed those horses for three days, you don't give them water to drink, then you lead them over the water into a river; the young horse will go to the middle to drink water, the old one will drink from the riverbank instead."

And on the bull-calf, he went behind them in the evening and found them taking a rest on a meadow somewhere, not knowing how to get over the sea.

In the evening the king gather everyone together and said: "I will marry my daughter off to the man who can bring my water-drinking-glass here tomorrow!"

The pigeon carried this glass, put it next to the king and from there flew to the king's window, from which they went out to fight.

Этот голубь отвез тот стакан, поставил около царя, оттуда дальше пошел к окну царя, к которому они идут воевать.

When he wanted to know: "Who brought this glass here?", his vizier came running and said: "I brought it!"

Когда он уточнял, мол, кто доставил этот стакан, появился его же визирь и сказал, я принес мол.

"If that's the case", the king turned to him, "I will marry my daughter off to you, but if it's not the case that you brought the glass, I will cut off your head."

Если так, повернулся царь в его сторону, я выдам за тебя дочь, но если не ты принес этот стакан, я отрублю твою голову мол.
