One day on Friday, the father saw only the sheep there walking alone hither and thither through the field.

28005. Mužmares kakno rodin, narey yeda uži ok’łä bˤeƛ’däyƛin, eza ik’izaƛ’, req’ezin oqno kecäsi esun. ⇫ ¶

He did the Friday's prayer, and went to see where his son went to from the flock of sheep, and when he approached him, he found him asleep.

После пятничной молитвы, когда отец пошел посмотреть, куда же мол этот сын ушел от овец, нашел спокойно спящим.

28006. Igorno ik’in babiya č’arik’nosi, užir retinanu, dahawgon šida di moƛał xecinč’uƛin. ⇫ ¶

The father came closer and after waking him up, the son didn't like it [and said]: "Why didn't you let me sleep a little more?"

Подошел поближе и отец разбудил, сыну не понравилось, почему чуть-чуть еще во сне меня не оставил мол.

28007. Howlotow babiw hemece ƛ’iri utin žaƛ’ šida mi ža eƛä, šebi deber moƛał rukayx zowäƛin. ⇫ ¶

Then the father replied to the son: "Why do you say this, what did you see in your dream?"

Тут же отец столько настаивал сына, почему ты это сказал, что ты увидел во сне мол.

28008. Esinč’inäy bazarganzar teƛa yołƛin ʕuƛ’erxo zown. ⇫ ¶

"If you don't tell, I will sell you to the merchants!", he scared him.

Если не расскажешь, то отдам купцам мол, пугал.

28009. Užä ot’ bisno ičin, mi šebigon rodiłin äsinč’iƛin. ⇫ ¶

The son was rejecting, "Whatever you do, I won't tell."

Сын отказался, что бы ты не сделаешь, все равно не расскажу мол.

28010. Elay nesä ik’in baruq raqru łinałäyn esinosi, neła eƛin, neširu t’ekan bexʷad, užin goƛ’o, xizyo di nesiq esiranƛin. ⇫ ¶

He went away and told his wife what had happened, and she said: "Slaughter a goat tonight, call the boy and afterwards I will ask him."

Оттуда пошел он, рассказал жене и она сказал, вечером зарежь козла, пригласи сына и потом я спрошу у него.

28011. Bexʷayn t’ekan, ƛoħaɣor nełas reƛno riħurno, goƛ’in uži. ⇫ ¶

So he slaughtered the goat, put its meat into a pan and called his son.

Зарезал козла, закинули в кастрюлю его мясо и пригласили сына.

28012. T’ogon žade puħorno yik’in, ƛ’iri yutin eniw, eso däq, šebi deber moƛał rukayx zowäƛin. ⇫ ¶

There, the mother went beside him and insisted: "Tell me, what did you see in your dream?"

Тут мама подошла ближе к сыну, настояла, расскажи мне, что ты видел во сне мол.

28013. Eniwqorno hemedurtow, esa k’ʷeze yaqinč’i däqƛin ičin. ⇫ ¶

To his mother he was the same: "I cannot tell you."

Маме тоже также сказал, не могу я рассказать мол.

28014. Xizyo, babiya äƛiruxor, ža uži bazarganzar teƛno. ⇫ ¶

Afterwards, the father sold his boy off to the merchants, as he said.

Потом, как сказал отец, того сына дал купцам.

28015. ƛ’iri xabar boynč’ey bazarganzadetow sadaq oqno užin ik’in. ⇫ ¶

Without further conversation, the boy went together with the merchants.

Без лишнего разговора вместе с купцами и мальчик пошел.

28016. Hunix bik’iƛ’oräy, sasiłnosi yizi nasin sidaɣ łin, c’in, qacan anuza gogaƛ’ rešt’izi boqno. ⇫ ¶

While they were on their way, it got dark and they all took a rest on a meadow without any firewood, fire or water.

Идя по дороге, когда стемнело они остановились на одном поле, где не было ни воды, ни огня, ни дров.

28017. Boč’ik’xo, ačqˤayx, bazarganbi butnozaxarno butin kecno bičin. ⇫ ¶

Feeling cold and being thirsty, the merchants wrapped themselves into their burkas and fell asleep.

Озябшие и жаждущие купцы завернулись в бурки и легли спать.

28018. Yisi žar moƛał neł gogaƛäz łäs oreznin, bišʷan rizäsi c’in, qacisgon ɣeryabin rukayn. ⇫ ¶

In his dream, the boy saw a pond of water under the meadow, food, a fire and a pile of firewood.

Это мальчик видел во сне ниже поля озерцо воды, еду, воспламенившего огня и штабель дров.

28019. Eloš gogaƛäz łin yoł, eräsigon c’in yoł, ƛ’irigon ħažat roqnäy qacan yołƛin nesä neside puħosi bazargan č’arik’nosi, nediw oqzaƛ’ła min eni-babiya elur neƛäƛin, uyƛag aƛ’in. ⇫ ¶

"Over there, behind the field is water, and there is a fire and firewood, if necessary!", [he said] and when woke up the merchant next to him, he really scolded: "Because you're like this, your parents have given you to us!"

Там за полем находится вода, зажженный огонь, если понадобится и дрова мол, разбудил рядом находящегося купца. А он наоборот поругал (сказал иронией), мол поэтому родители дали тебя нам, из-за того, что ты такой.

28020. Sidenigon bazarganqor č’arik’no hemedurtow eƛin butnoƛäzay ezunosi, c’idos lapi bukayn. ⇫ ¶

He woke up another merchant and told him so, and when he looked out of his burka, he saw the flare of a fire.

Разбудил и также сказал другому купцу. Посмотрел из-под бурки и увидел пламя огня.

28021. Nesä sadaq bazarganbin č’arik’no, c’idoxaɣor bik’inosi, elogon łäs kikno besun, bišʷan resun. ⇫ ¶

He woke up all the merchants and they went to the fire, where they found a spring of water and food.

Он разбудил всех купцов, пошли к огню, там нашли источника воды и еду.

28022. Bišno axbin royn q’ˤida bičinosi, bazarganza esirno žaq, nediw oqzaƛ’gon šida mi eni-babiya elur neƛäƛin. ⇫ ¶

After they sat down and ate their bellies full(?), the merchants asked the boy: "Although you are like this, why did your parents give you to us?"

После того, как покушали и сидели наевшие, купцы спросили у мальчика, хотя ты такой, почему родители дали нам тебя мол.

28023. Di žeduqƛin, žawab teƛno nesä, där bˤeƛ’xo yałzay yukayru moƛu esinč’uƛin. ⇫ ¶

He answered "I didn't tell them what I dreamed of while herding the sheep."

Он ответил, я им не рассказал сон, который видел находясь пастухом овец.

28024. Howža yisiq eƛin rok’äłrungon žedu yisiƛ’or butin, eluqgon esinč’inäy, ela mi xaner teƛa yołƛin. ⇫ ¶

When he had said that to him, they insisted: "When you don't tell us, we will give you to the king."

Как только это он сказал, они настаивали его, если нам тоже не расскажешь, мы тебя дадим царю.

28025. Meža šebigon rodiłin, däz di eni-babiwqkin äsinč’iru, mežuq yežigon di ža moƛu äsinč’iƛin, uži et’un k’oƛin ičin. ⇫ ¶

"Whatever you do, I won't tell you my dream that I wouldn't tell my parents either!", the boy [said and] ran away.

Мальчик был решительным, когда я не рассказал своим родителям, вам тем более не расскажу, что бы вы ни сделали мол.

28026. Xizyo žedagon ža ižin xaner teƛno. ⇫ ¶

Afterwards they brought and gave him to the king.

He let him look after the ducks.

28028. Xanes zown sis bercinaw kid. ⇫ ¶

The king had one beautiful daughter.

У царя была одна красивая дочь.

28029. Zamanałäy žedus žeduqor roƛ’i boqno. ⇫ ¶

After a while, they fell in love with each other.

Через некоторое время они влюбились друг в друга.

28030. Kidbä yik’in mat’izaxay oɣo žaƛin babiwqor eƛinosi, nesä inkar bodin, eläy oɣłin nełƛ’ay bigza mečoƛ’or di ža egärinč’iƛin. ⇫ ¶

When the daughter went and told her father: "Let him away from the ducks!", he rejected and said: "I won't let him to a place better than this one."

Дочь пошла и сказала отцу, освободи его от ухода за утками, но он отказался, все равно я его не пущу на более, чем это, хорошее место.

28031. Žeduł roƛosi šebin čuqˤnosi, xanä wazirzaqorno eƛin uži tełer kurerno. ⇫ ¶

When he noticed what is between them, the king told his viziers to throw the boy into jail.

Когда заметил их взаимоотношение, царь сказал визирам и юношу посадили в тюрьму.

28032. Ža xanzo kidber ʕuraw isałno, k’eneč’cet’a gurow yišxo zownanu. ⇫ ¶

This was very difficult for the king's daughter, and she didn't eat anything but food in the size of an egg anymore.

Дочь царя переносила это очень тяжело, она ела пищу размером яйца.

28033. Hemecegon där neƛxosi bišʷa raq’ˤik’ƛin babiwqorno eƛin, ƛäxuru neła nazonoqayn ruqˤno tusnaq’är užir rižixt’a yik’ix zown. ⇫ ¶

"Increase the food that you are giving to me!", she said to her father, ...

Столько еще пищу, дающую мне увеличь сказала папе и оставшуюся она тайно ото всех отнесла юноше в тюрьму.

28034. Sida zamanał, maduhalłiqozo ħukmatyoz xanä yisiƛ’or begirno geres hibo bayrno naza boq’ˤiw, naza kikiw yałru biyrƛin. ⇫ ¶

At one point in time, the king of a neighboring country sent to him an iron stick [with the message]: "Find out where it's heavy and where's it's light."

В одно время царь из соседнего государства отправил к нему железную палку, узнай откуда легкая, откуда тяжелая мол.

28035. Nagaħ ža riyrinč’inäy dowde dandir di ƛˤori boda yołƛin. ⇫ ¶

"If you don't find it out, I will start a war against you."

Если ты не узнаешь об этом, я объявлю войну против тебя.

28036. Xanä q’ʷaridno oqno wˤałer rˤoƛ’arzay q’ˤimkin rizirxo zownanu, t’ok’ow roda šebin koƛ’inč’ey. ⇫ ¶

The king became sad and while he hung his head, he didn't lift it up again and didn't know what to do anymore.

Царь огорчился, не зная что делать, не поднимал даже голову, опущенную вниз.

28037. Sida quł tusnaq’är žader q’ʷaridno yoqno xanes kid yayn, šebi roqnoƛin nesä bayan bisnosi, yiłä nełäz babiwƛ’or bayru q’ʷariłiłäy esin. ⇫ ¶

One day, the sad princess came to the boy into the prison and when he wanted to know what had happened, she told about the sadness that came upon her father.

В один день к юноше в тюрьму опечаленная пришла дочь царя. Когда уточнил он, что случилось мол, она рассказала о том, какое горе настигло ее отца.

28038. Nełaq mi rasgi q’ʷarid yaqnoƛin, žoyä nełas rok’u čučzi royn. ⇫ ¶

"Don't be sad at all about it!", he calmed her down.

Ты нисколько не грусти за это мол, юноша успокаивал ее.

28039. Howt’ay yäk’irun, där moƛał rukaysƛin babiwqor eƛo mi, soderno kurno ƛ’ˤiyor nexƛ’oräy, geres hibos boq’ˤugani pu wˤałxor butin nexno raƛ’moƛxorgon šäšiƛin. ⇫ ¶

"When you go again, tell your father that you have seen it in a dream: He shall throw it upward and when it comes down again, the iron stick's heavier side will turn downward and get stuck in the earth."

Как придешь отсюда, скажи отцу мол, что ты видела во сне, если железную палку бросить на верх и когда опуститься вниз, то тяжелая часть повернется книзу, даже может вонзиться в землю.

28040. Elayn k’oƛin yik’in neła hemedur där moƛał rukaysƛin, užä małiru šebin babiwq esin. ⇫ ¶

So she ran away and told her father: "I have seem it in a dream!" and what the boy had explained to her.

28041. Xanä cuƛerno kurno boq’ˤugani puƛ’aza ža hibo raƛ’moƛxor šišinosi, kaɣatno caxno ent’aza boq’ˤiw, ent’aza kikiw yoł yedu hiboƛin xizo-q’ˤimer maduhalłiqozo xander begirno. ⇫ ¶

The king threw the stick into the air and it got stuck in the earth with the heavy side, then he wrote a letter writing where the stick is heavy and where it is light, and sent the stick back to the king from the neighboring country.

Then, that king had two pigeons be brought[ to him, saying]: "Find out, which is male and which is female!"

Again, the king was sad.

His daughter came running and moaned heavily at the boy.

28045. Šebi roqno deber, tusnaq’ä yałru dikinwa necet’a ixiw muši kurxanuƛin, žoyä bayan bisnosi, neła hemedur q’ˤano t’umi bayräsi yoł, žedałäy nasi guluči, nasi aqiw bat’a boda koƛ’inč’ey ƛexasiƛin esin. ⇫ ¶

"What happened to you? Even I, who I am in prison, don't moan so much!", the boy wanted to know, and she told him so: "Two pigeons were brought and it remains unknown how to distinguish which of them is male and which is female!"

28046. Q’ʷarid boqa bayxozoce šebin anu žaƛin, kidbes žoyä rok’u ɣˤaɣˤu rizirno. ⇫ ¶

"There is nothing to be sad about", the boy made the girl's heart happy.

28047. Howt’ay yäk’irun moƛał rukays därƛin eso nesiq, łˤora ɣudƛ’o q’ˤanon t’umibi quqan xecin žedar biša kurnosi, gulučini t’umi šet’u butix bäči, aqugani bišno łiyaceƛin. ⇫ ¶

"When you go out, - I saw it in a dream -", he told him(?), "leave the two pigeons hungry for 3 days, then, after you throw food onto them, the male pigeon will turn around until the female pigeon has finished eating."

28048. Elay babiwderno yik’in, užä małiruxor, hemedurtow där moƛał rukaysƛin, neła esin. ⇫ ¶

She went out and to her father, and told him, after what the boy had explained: "I saw it like this in a dream!"

28049. Xanä žedu t’umbi łˤora ɣudi quqan xecin rišerƛ’oräy, aqugani bišno łiyace gulučini t’umi šet’u butix bičin. ⇫ ¶

The king left those pigeons hungry for three days, and when he fed them, the male one turned around until the female one had finished eating.

Afterwards the male one ate as well.

28051. Nasi žedałäy guluči, nasi aqiw yałru biynosi, maduhalłiqozo xanƛ’or kaɣatno caxno, enda guluči, enda aqiwƛin nesiƛ’or hoz-hozu t’uman regirno. ⇫ ¶

After he knew which of them is the male and which is the female one, he wrote a letter to the neighboring king, and sent the pigeons back seperately [indicating] on it "That one is male" and "That one is female".

28052. Hudayƛ’aygon maduhalłiqozoni xanä begirno q’ˤano gulu bayrno nasi yizałäy ʕoloqanaw, nasi ečru yałru bat’a boda koƛ’inč’inäy, di dowde dandir ƛˤori boda yołƛin. ⇫ ¶

On the next day, the neighboring king had two horses be brought to him, [saying:] "If you don't know how to find out which of them is young and which is old, I will make war on you!"

It was a big hazzle for the king and he didn't know what to do.
