Once upon a time there was a married couple.

They had three daughters that were in the age of getting married.

They were very skilled girls.

So many brave young men were coming and asked them out, but the girls refused them.

66005. Hemedur žedu ʕuraw mixƛ’or xedyox rik’inč’ey idu ƛexun, žagon eni-babiwr rok’er retin roqxo zownanu. ⇫ ¶

So they remained at home for a long time without marrying husbands; this however didn't please the parents

Вот так они, не выходя замуж, довольно долгое оставались дома, что не очень одобряли родители.

66006. Sida quł, babiya igorno goƛ’in kidbazaq riyrno, sasaq eli bet’erbaqi bodanix maħor boqa bayƛin. ⇫ ¶

One day, the father called them to himself and explained to the daughters: "Tomorrow we have to go outside to do work."

Однажды отец позвал дочерей к себе и предупредил: «Завтра нам придется пойти на заработки».

66007. Hudayziko qˤaħłiqtow babiw kidbabi saparyox boqno. ⇫ ¶

The next day at dawn the father (and) the daughters went on their journey.

На следующий день на рассвете отец с дочерьми отправились в дальний путь.

66008. Babiw pikruzał ik’ix zown, didurey yizidäy hozur ok’łanƛin. ⇫ ¶

The father was going with the thoughts: "How can I get rid of them?"

Отец шел, размышляя, как бы отделаться от них.

66009. Šomon ɣudi hunixno roɣno, yizi sida yeže gogaƛ’or bayn. ⇫ ¶

They spent many days on their way, then they came to a big meadow.

Много дней они провели в пути и пришли они на одну большую поляну.

66010. Elo babiya kidbazaqor eƛin, meži däqor rezun howt’o ričinčey, di ezu-ʕaƛ’a ik’an sasaqor ɣudi qˤaširanix elur t’ozoƛ’ay bigu moči yołäƛin. ⇫ ¶

There the father told them: "Wait for me here, I will go and have a look around if there is a better place to spend the night than this one here."

Там отец сказал им: «Вы здесь подождите меня, а я пойду и посмотрю, есть ли тут поблизости место для ночлега лучше, чем это».

66011. Žan eƛin, babiw gogaƛ’ay oqno bitor ik’in, kidbabin babiw ayaniqor rezun howlotow ričäsi zown. ⇫ ¶

Having said that, the father left the meadow and went away, and the girls waited there for their father to return.

Отец сказал это и ушел дальше, а дочери все ждали и ждали отца на том же месте.

66012. Dahaw zaman bik’in, baq’ˤu zaman bik’in, roƛi qur rayn, hudun babiw aynanu. ⇫ ¶

A little time passed, much time passed, it became midnight; nevertheless their father didn't come back.

Немного времени прошло, много времени прошло, наступила полночь, тем не менее, отец не вернулся.

66013. Hoboy kidbazar čuqˤno, žedu roɣno kurno babiw äk’irułi. ⇫ ¶

Now the girls noticed that their father abandoned them and went away.

Тогда девушки поняли, что отец ушел, бросив их.

66014. Sida ɣunoƛ q’ˤidan ričin, hemełatow ɣunoqay ret’urxo č’iħon rac’no, sasaqor yizä rig-žuk riłe ɣudi qˤaširno. ⇫ ¶

They sat down under a tree, then they ate fruits that they picked from that tree, and so they spent the time quite satisfactory until the next morning.

Сели под деревом, поели фруктов с того дерева, и так хорошо или плохо остались там до утра.

66015. Sasaqosi elo yizi zawza mečoƛ’or ƛ’irir neła ħukmatyos xan keze oqno. ⇫ ¶

In the morning, to the place where they were came that country's king for a meeting.

Утром на том месте, где они находились, случайно очутился хан той страны.

66016. Nesä esirno, aɣikin bayxanuzo yiła gogaƛ’or mežigon nazay t’or rayäƛin. ⇫ ¶

He asked: "From where did you come here to this meadow, where even birds do not come?"

Он спросил: «Как вы оказались на этой поляне, где даже птиц не бывает?»

66017. Kidbazä esin, eli babiwde sadaq saparyox roqäsi zows, babiwn gugin howt’o ƛexasi yoł, ela debez ɣunoqay dahaw henešno but’in bac’siƛin. ⇫ ¶

The girls said: "We were travelling together with our father, and he ran away and we were staying here; and we picked some apples from your tree and ate them."

Девушки рассказали: «Мы вместе с отцом шли по дороге, отец потерялся, а мы остались здесь, сорвали и немного поели яблок с твоего дерева».

66018. Šebi mežas maxšel yołƛin, xanä yizaq esirno. ⇫ ¶

"What are your skills?", asked the king.

Хан спросил у них: «Какие у вас способности?»

66019. Yeženi esiya eƛin, hisos ric’no urgu däqor neƛnäy, nazon debez nukarzaz guluzaƛ’ ƛ’iri kuranix xaličabi rišan diƛin. ⇫ ¶

The oldest sister said: "If you fill a sack with wool and give it to me, I will weave mats to put on all the horses of your henchmen."

Старшая сестра сказала: «Если дашь мне большой мешок, полный шерсти, я буду ткать коврики для коней всех твоих нукеров».

66020. Yoƛozoni esiya eƛin, däqor at’es sis saħ neƛnäy, debez ozyortow ʕeze roqace magalabi rodan diƛin. ⇫ ¶

The middle sister said: "If you give me one sah of wheat, I will make breads enough for your army."

Средняя сестра сказала: «Если дашь мне одну мерку муки, я испеку лепешки, которых хватит для твоего войска».

66021. Yeɣenä eƛin, di nesir marɣalyos k’icu yołäsi užin odan, mesedyosgon žežu yołäsi kidno yodanƛin. ⇫ ¶

The young one said: "I will give birth to a son with a pearl tooth and a daughter with a golden ponytail."

А младшая сказала: «Я смогу родить мальчика с жемчужными зубами и девочку с золотой косой».

66022. Nedur resunäy, däde sadaq ƛaƛin, xanä žedu łˤonon iduɣor rižin. ⇫ ¶

"If that is the case, come with me!", said the king and lead the three of them to his home.

«В таком случае пойдемте со мной», - хан забрал их троих домой.

66023. Risno yeženi esiwqor xanä rut’ugabi rišanix hisos ric’äsi urgu teƛno. ⇫ ¶

The king gave the oldest sister a sack filled with wool for her to weave carpets.

Хан отдал старшей сестре большой мешок, полный шерсти, чтобы она ткала коврики.

66024. Qˤašizaƛ’or rišin neła rut’ugabi, łˤonoqu äƛiru rut’ugar dahaw moxon ʕeze boqinč’ey, q’ˤuyaniƛ’ay ža q’ˤuna bašice k’ot’ono roqno. ⇫ ¶

Until dawn she weaved carpets, but the thread was a little too short for the sixtieth carpet, so it became two fingers shorter than the others.

Она ткала коврики до утра, и шестидесятый коврик вышел немного короче остальных на два пальца, так как не хватило ниток.

66025. Sasaqosi xanqo esin, sis xaliča dahaw k’ot’ono riłe yołƛin. ⇫ ¶

In the morning they told the king: "One mat is a little shorter."

Утром рассказали хану, что один коврик оказался немного короче.

66026. Mi äƛiru roži t’ubazi rodinč’uƛin, xanä yeženi esiw xizor yoxirno. ⇫ ¶

"You didn't keep your word!" said the king and chased the oldest sister back.

«Ты не исполнила данное слово», сказал хан и выгнал старшую сестру.

66027. Nesä nesiz nukarzaƛ’ xaličabin rułirno. ⇫ ¶

And the mats he shared among his own henchmen.

А коврики раздал своим нукерам.

66028. Hudayziko yoƛozoni esiwqor gegmus ric’äsi saħ teƛno, däz ozyor rac’anix ʕeziyaw magalabi rodoƛin. ⇫ ¶

The next day, he gave a sah filled with flour to the middle sister, [saying]: "Make many breads for my army to eat!"

На следующий день средней сестре дал мерку, полную муки: «Испеки для моего войска лепешек, чтобы хватило на всех».

66029. Nełaqno sis magalu beɣe biłe boqno. ⇫ ¶

For her one bread became too small.

У нее тоже одна лепешка вышла меньше, чем остальные.

66030. Xander yik’in esin neła, sis magalu beɣe biłe boqno, deber näƛru roži daq t’ubazi roqinč’uƛin. ⇫ ¶

She went to the king and told him: "One bread became a bit smaller, the word that I have given to you didn't fulfill."

Пошла к хану и рассказала: «Одна лепешка вышла немного меньше, я не смогла выполнить данное тебе обещание».

66031. Yoqzaƛ’ yeženi esiwł xizaytow min yik’iƛin, xanä yoƛƛosin esiw maħor yoxirno. ⇫ ¶

"Because this happened, go after your older sister!", and the king also chased the middle sister away.

«Поэтому ты тоже уходи вслед за старшей сестрой», - хан выдворил и среднюю сестру.

66032. Magalabin nesä hemedurtow nesä nesiz nukarzaƛ’ rułirno. ⇫ ¶

The bread he also shared among his own henchmen.

Лепешки он раздал своим нукерам.

66033. Reɣeni xaliča räqiruni nukarertow biqin beɣeni magalun. ⇫ ¶

And the henchman who got the small mat also got the small bread.

Маленькая лепешка досталась тому, кто получил и маленький коврик.

66034. Łˤora äƛiru ɣudƛ’ogon xanä bertenno bodin yeɣeni esiw yown. ⇫ ¶

And on the third day the king arranged a marriage and married the young sister.

На третий день хан сыграл свадьбу и женился на их младшей сестре.

66035. Xexbi roda netiey zaman bayanƛin, xanä ɣudbi t’et’erxo ičäsi zown. ⇫ ¶

The king waited and counted the days until the time when the children would be born.

Хан считал дни, когда наступит время родить детей.

66036. Sida quł sasaqosi bara eƛin, di yaqˤuł xexbi royxosi, mi däde igono näxno, č’uħaraw šeƛ’un šeƛ’un madaħarno oƛäxnoƛin. ⇫ ¶

One day in the morning the wife said: "Today I am giving birth to the children, do not come near me and do not go outside in gorgeous clothing!"

Однажды утром жена сказала: «Я сегодня буду рожать, ты не подходи ко мне близко и не выходи на улицу в роскошной одежде».

66037. Sasiłzaƛ’or xan idurno ik’inanu, č’uħaraw šeƛ’un šeƛ’unanu. ⇫ ¶

Until it got dark, the king neither went home nor put on gorgeous clothing.

До темноты хан не заходил домой и не надевал роскошную одежду.

66038. Neširaygon soder yisä č’uħaraw šeƛ’un šeƛ’un madazaħ aħnayx zown. ⇫ ¶

After the evening, however, he put on gorgeous clothes and took a walk outside.

А вечером он выходил на улицу и гулял в роскошной одежде.

66039. Žedu režet’ani esnazar retinanu yeɣeni esiw xanxo yik’izaƛ’, yizi urɣizi roqno, šebiey nełar elaq žukłi roqanƛin. ⇫ ¶

The older sisters didn't want that, because the younger sister went to the king, he would think, that something evil with us might happen to her.

Те старшие сестры не хотели, чтобы младшая сестра выходила за хана, и думали, какое зло ей причинить.

66040. Hemeła qułtow žeda pikru bodin, yaqˤuł elas esiya xexbi roda rayxosi anaƛin. ⇫ ¶

On that very day they thought: "Shouldn't our sister give birth to the children today?"

В тот же день они замыслили: сегодня, мол, сестра должна родить.

66041. Elay rizin yizi sida siħirawni q’orolaydäɣor rik’in, yeɣeni esiwde puħay xexbi rok’ek’anix sis ħilla urɣizi bodoƛin. ⇫ ¶

They got up from there and went to a cunning widow: "Think of a trickery in order to steal the children from our younger sister's side!"

Они встали и пошли к одной хитрой вдове: «Придумай способ похитить детей у младшей сестры».

66042. Ža q’orolay xanez ɣˤutkoz madaxor yik’in. ⇫ ¶

That widow then went to the gate of the king's house.

Та вдова пошла во двор ханского дома.

66043. Č’uħaraw šeƛ’un šeƛ’un iduza, madazax aħna-ik’ix yołƛax xan. ⇫ ¶

The king is said to have gone outside in his gorgeous clothes, taking a walk.

Хан в роскошной одежде заходил домой и выходил гулять во дворе.

66044. Yiła esirno, yaqˤuł debez bara xexbiya royxosi yołƛin. ⇫ ¶

She asked: "Is your wife giving birth to the children today?"

Она спросила: «Сегодня твоя жена рожает что ли?»

66045. Sosisi xan royxosi anuƛin ičäsi zown, yigtow q’orolay ƛ’iri yutizaƛ’, xanä esin. ⇫ ¶

At first the king was like: "She doesn't.", but because the widow insisted so much, the king told her.

Сначала хан отрицал: «Нет, не рожает». Вдова настаивала, и хан рассказал правду.

66046. Xizyo yiła yisiqor eƛin, däqkin šida mi esinč’u, xexbi royxosi ɣˤanabi nedur sisxoli xeca yayxosi anu. ⇫ ¶

Then she said to him: "Why didn't you tell me? One musn't let a woman who gives birth to children so alone.

Потом она сказала ему: «Почему ты заранее мне не сказал об этом, нельзя же оставить женщину, которая рожает, одну.

66047. Ya yexun yäsu ža, ya č’agu yäsuƛin xanqorno eƛin, yedu režet’ani esnazadäɣor yik’in, xanesno yiłasno baqru xabaryołäy esanix. ⇫ ¶

Maybe she is dead, or maybe she is alive." she said to the king, went to the older sister and told that story that happened to her and the king.

Может быть, она умерла, а может быть и жива», - сказала она хану и отправилась к старшим сестрам, чтобы рассказать об их разговоре.

66048. Sis k’ucin, k’et’us xexoyn ałux ruqˤno žedun rižin q’orolay xanez barudäɣor yik’in. ⇫ ¶

The widow hid a puppy and a kitten under her skirt and carried them to the king's wife.

Вдова взяла с собой одного щенка и котенка и пошла к жене хана.

66049. Neła kidno, užin rodäsi resun. ⇫ ¶

She had given birth to a daughter and a son.

У нее родились мальчик и девочка.

66050. Nełdäy xexbin rižin, k’ucin, k’et’us xexoybin nełder kurno. ⇫ ¶

She took away the children from her and put the puppy and the kitten do her.

Забрала она ее детей, а там оставила щенка и котенка.

66051. Žedu q’ˤanon xexbin rižin q’orolay duri bižin režet’ani esnazadäɣor yik’in. ⇫ ¶

The widow carried the two children and ran to the older sisters.

С этими детьми вдова бегом побежала к старшим сестрам.

66052. Žeda q’orolaq harizi rodin, yizi xexbi mi kikoƛin. ⇫ ¶

They asked the widow: "Please feed these children!"

Они попросили вдову, чтобы она ухаживала за детьми.

66053. Kudrä tełno bičirno, q’orola žedu kikix zown. ⇫ ¶

The widow put them into a cradle and fed them.

Вдова положила их в плетеную люльку и вскармливала.

66054. Xanzo barus naysinan ci rik’inƛax ɣˤʷays k’ucin, k’et’us xexoyn neła ƛuƛin rodinƛin. ⇫ ¶

The king's wife became known everywhere for the fact that she gave birth to a puppy and a kitten.

Про царскую жену повсюду пошла молва, что она родила щенка и котенка.

66055. Ganzo ħošiqno yutirno xanä yedu, ɣˤutkoł adäza imyoqor yicin, puħaza ik’i-äk’iru žek’a nocu caƛaniƛäy. ⇫ ¶

The king wrapped her up in a bull's hide and tied her to a pole in front of the house, so that people who walked past could spit onto her.

Хан завернул ее в бычью шкуру, привязал перед домом к столбу, чтобы каждый проходящий человек мог плюнуть в нее.

66056. Sida quł neširu aħna-ik’anix maħor oqnosi, reɣeni xaličan, beɣenigon magalun bäqiruni xanzo nukarer q’orolaz idäzay beɣe xexzas guru teqno. ⇫ ¶

One day, in the evening, one of the king's henchmen who went outside to walk for a while and got a small mat and a small bread heard the crying of young children from the home of the widow.

Однажды вечером на улицу вышел погулять нукер, которому достались маленький коврик и маленькая лепешка, и услышал из дома вдовы плач новорожденных детей.

66057. Q’arƛ’otow izin ik’in yisä xanqo esin, neširu q’orolaz iday, hemedur, beɣe xexzas där guru teqsi, žedu xexbi debikin besač’ineyƛin. ⇫ ¶
