"Now I will fulfill my father's testament," the boy [thought and] began to build houses everywhere he wanted, "or else I will put a noose around my neck and die."

He didn't get a wife that was black and white and longer and shorter, as the father had said.

49012. Howži yisi žoyä, t’ok’ow urɣel čučzi boda nesis igorsi žek’un oqinč’izaƛ’, yacʕalqo kinaw raqru šebinno esin, eƛin, yaqˤuł dey xizaɣorsi ɣudi yoł ƛexasi. ⇫ ¶

When he came home and his uncle asked: "Why have you been dying, having a noose around your neck?", he answered: "My father stated in his testament, that I have to make houses where I get to..."

When the boy said: "If that's the case, get shorter!", the girl said: "Here, am I not getting shorter?", sat down and became like a ball.

When the boy said: "Get black!", the girl brought her hair ahead, and when he said: "Get white!", he turned her hair away from the front and threw it on her back[, saying]: "Here, I got."

49029. Nedur resunäy, mi därsitow ɣˤanabiwa zownƛin, howlotow babiwn nełas yałzay, maharno erno daramno boyn, nesi žoyä yacʕaltow yowx. ⇫ ¶

"If that's the case, aren't you a woman exactly for me?", and while the father was hers(?) there, they organized a wedding, traded and that boy married his cousin.

When they went home together, his wife reminded him: "There might be a sense to this hook under the ceiling."

49031. Q’ˤuriƛ’orno izin, ročyos kač’un boyn kicirqo ročno ricin exoriłanƛin yeda zawrułer, acno yaɣˤiłno yik’in elo tełäzay ukru-micxirno bešno, babiya užirƛin eqerno zawruni ħažataw-q’ʷarʕaraw šebinno rešno. ⇫ ¶

He got up on a chair, made a loop, tied the rope to the hook, and when he tried to hang himself, a door opened and from inside there, gold and silver fell down, and the necessary things that were put there by the father for his son.

Поднялся на стул, завязал петлю, зацепил веревку за кольцо и когда пытался висеть, вдруг открылась дверь, оттуда вывалились драгоценности и другие необходимые вещи, которые отец хоронил для сына.

49032. Howži yedu micxir łar biča bayƛin bara esirnosi, yisä där biča bayƛin eƛin. ⇫ ¶

When the wife asked, "For whom is that money now?", he said: "It must be for me."

49033. Nedur resunäyƛin, eƛin bara, t’ay deber di uyno ɣˤurušno neƛan, nełaƛ ʕaq’lu bisanix mi pulanaw žek’uder sida ʕaƛar ik’iƛin. ⇫ ¶

"If that's the case," said his wife, "I will give you four rubles from here; go to a village to a certain man in order to buy an advice with it."

В таком случае, сказала жена, я тебе дам отсюда четыре рубля и ты должен пойти к некоторому человеку, чтобы взять у него совет.

The husband took the four rubles and went on his way.

The village where he had to go, was very far away.

Село, куда он должен был идти, находилось далеко.

49036. Xediw adäzay ok’äłrun, bara kušin ža ɣˤutku rosyoƛ’orno rayrno, ec’no ɣˤutku rodanix bašla bodin ustarbin begirno. ⇫ ¶

When her husband had gone away from her, the wife demolished that house and brought it down to the base, and she let the experts begin to build a new house.

49040. Yisi eženi žek’a idur aynosigon yeda ʕuraw mixƛ’or ezurnon xecin esirno, dey uži, mi šebi q’ʷariʕelno keze boqno nexäsi yoł, ħažataw-q’ʷarʕaraw łinałäyn šida esixanuƛin. ⇫ ¶

When that old man came home, he showed him much time(?) and asked: "My son, what is it that you need, and why don't you tell me what you have necessary?"

Этот старый человек долго заставил его ждать дома и спросил, мой сын, с какой целью ты пришел, почему не рассказываешь о своих надобностях мол.

49041. Debi zikru łiyace ičäsi zowsƛin, užä žawab teƛno. ⇫ ¶

"I was waiting until your recitation is finished.", answered the boy.

Я ждал пока не закончится чтение твоего зикр мол, ответил юноша.

49042. Dey zikru netikin łiyxosianu. ⇫ ¶

"My recitation never ends.

Чтение моего зикр никогда не заканчивается.

49043. Šebi zowä deber, nełƛ’asi eso miƛin, eƛin ečruni žek’a. ⇫ ¶

So tell me what you have to tell!", said the old man.

Тем не менее ты скажи, что тебе нужно мол, спросил старик.

49044. Di debeq ʕaq’lu mołiranix nexäsi yołƛin, eƛin užä. ⇫ ¶

"I've come to ask you for advice", said the boy.

Я пришел к тебе за советом мол, сказал юноша.

49045. Dey užiƛin, eƛin eženi žek’a, sida ʕaq’lus baha sis ɣˤuruš yołƛin. ⇫ ¶

"My son," said the old man, "the price of an advice is one ruble."

Мой сын, сказал старик, один совет стоит один рубль мол.

49046. Nedur resunäy di raziyaw yołƛin, nesä esace teqerno ičin. ⇫ ¶

"If that's the case, I am ready.", and he listened until he told him.

The boy thought: "How big an advice did he give me?!"

А юноша подумал, какой большой совет он мне дал мол.

49049. Yisiz rok’ƛ’osi šebin eženi žek’ur riyx. ⇫ ¶

The old man knew what he thought.

Старый человек знает то, что у него на сердце.

49050. Xizyogon žoyä sisgon ʕaq’lu mołoƛin nesiqor eƛinosi, hudun mi di bayru ʕaq’luƛ’ razi oqxanuwaƛin eƛintow ičin. ⇫ ¶

When the boy said to him again: "Give me another advice!", he said: "You won't accept my advice anyway."

Затем, когда юноша попросил его, чтобы ему дал еще один совет, он (старик) так себе проговорил, все равно тебя же не удовлетворяет мой совет мол.

49051. Žar čuqˤno nesiz rok’ƛ’osi šebin eženi žek’a riyärułi. ⇫ ¶

The boy noticed that the old man found out what he thought.

Юноша почуял, что старик знает то, о чем он думает.

49052. Hudun ži ɣˤuruš neƛnäy sisgon bodan deber di ʕaq’luƛin razi oqno eženi. ⇫ ¶

"Nevertheless, if you give me a ruble, I'll give you another advice.", agreed the old man.

Все-таки я тебе дам еще один совет, если ты дашь мне рубль мол, согласился старик.

49053. Q’ˤano äƛirugon nesä žaqay ɣˤurušno yisno, mi qˤišodäy soder ħon xäcinƛin, ʕaq’lun bodin. ⇫ ¶

For the second time he took a ruble from the boy and gave him the advice: "Don't go up the mountain after it got dark!"

49054. Xizyogon, hemedurtow dice ixiw ʕaq’lu yisä där žigoƛ’äygon bodäƛin nesiz rok’ƛ’or rayn. ⇫ ¶

Again, he thought: "What a similarly big advice did he give me once again?!"

Потом еще юноша подумал, какой большой совет он мне дал мол.

49055. Sosigon žoyä łˤono ɣˤurušno teƛno, eženi žek’uqor ʕaq’lu bodoƛin eƛin. ⇫ ¶

Again, the boy gave him the third ruble and said to the old man: "Give me an advice!"

Еще раз юноша отдал третий рубль и попросил старика, чтобы тот дал ему совет.

49056. Miƛin, eƛin nesä, k’ot’ono, c’ec’mabi c’uda, ozurabi niga, kodi aluk’a ɣˤanazaƛ’ bužzi aqno, nełqay maqˤixno ičiƛin. ⇫ ¶

"Don't", he said, "believe in a short woman with her eyelashes red, her eyes green and her hair white, but keep away from her!"

Ты не верь короткой женщине, у которой красные ресницы, зеленые глаза, белые волосы и держись от нее подальше.

49057. Sisgon ʕaq’lu mołoƛin ƛ’iri uži utinosi, hunix ik’izaƛ’ deberno ħažat yaq ža xizor ƛäxuruni sisini ɣˤurušƛin, endurtow esin eženi žek’a ʕaq’lu, boƛ’araw royxozo łinałno cim xizor biq’ˤir, sabru ader adek’ƛin. ⇫ ¶
