One night he had a dream: while walking around the mountains, he found three flowers - one in the color of gold, another one in the color of a pearl and yet another one in the color of ruby.

That girl was telling Mountain-Hero with her hands and fingers to run back.

But he didn't even move from there.

After some time two pigeons came flying.

They threw their wings up to the girl.

After that, the girl who had been kidnapped and carried away by the dragon turned into a pigeon and flew away.

The dragon yelled after the girl: "Come back! If you don't come back, I will get you again!"

The dragon's scream woke Mountain-Hero up from his dream.

Крик дракона разбудил Гору-богатыря.

68016. Nełƛ’ay soder nesir iča-q’ˤʷaƛa zown anu. ⇫ ¶

After that, he didn't have any unrest.

С тех пор он не находил себе места.

One day the father asked him: "Why are you so sad, what has happened to you?"

Not giving any answer, Mountain-Hero went away.

Seeing that from day to day the son went on to become thin, so the father asked him again: "What happened to you? Why are you becoming like a stick?"

Then Mountain-Hero told his father about the dream he had seen: "I want to go after the girl that I had seen in that dream."

The next day Mountain-Hero sat on his horse, took his weapon and went on his way behind the girl he saw in his dream.

На следующий день Гора-богатырь сел на коня, взял оружие и отправился за той девушкой, которую видел во сне.

68022. Łˤora äƛiru ɣudƛ’o yeda sida osiw hunoxor ayn. ⇫ ¶

On the third day he came to a high way.

На третий день он добрался до одного дерева...

He decided to go there until the days would dawn in the morning.

...и решил остаться там на ночлег.

When he went to sleep, a big storm came up.

"I cannot get to sleep here anyway.", said Mountain-Hero, sat on his horse and got away from there.

The day dawned, the morning time came and the sun appeared.

Наступил рассвет, пришло утреннее время и взошло солнце.

68027. Buq bätuza puƛ’azay guluƛ’no zown yisir eže žek’u nexxo ukayn. ⇫ ¶

In the south he saw an old man riding on a horse coming towards him.

Со стороны запада он увидел старого человека, ехавшего на коне ему навстречу.

68028. Yisił dandir c’axrun eženä eƛin, horo ela gulubi ħažan, yiła sis čuret’ bok’näy ʕoƛno ħon xecixosi, ži di eže izäsi oqzaƛ’, yedu deber biča bayƛin. ⇫ ¶

Right when he came towards him, the old man said: "Come, let's exchange horses! When I beat the whip, he lets seven mountains behind him; because I have become old now, he shall be yours."

Как только они сошлись, старик предложил ему: «Давай поменяемся конями, если один раз ударить моего плетью, то он оставляет позади семь гор, я уже постарел, поэтому он должен принадлежать тебе».

Without saying another word, Mountain-Hero exchanged the horse with the old man.

Без лишних слов Гора-богатырь поменял своего коня на коня старика.

68030. Nesiz guluƛ’no zown, bok’no yisä čuret’, ʕoƛno ħonno xecin raładyoz lilyoxor ayn yeda. ⇫ ¶

He sat on the horse, beated the whip and having left seven mountains behind him, he came to the coast of the sea.

Сел на его коня, ударил один раз плетью и очутился на берегу моря за семью горами.

68031. Sisgon čuret’ bok’nosi, raładyos bitazoni lilyoxar boqno yizi. ⇫ ¶

He beat the whip once more and they came to the other coast of the sea.

Второй раз ударил плетью, и они оказались на той стороне морского берега.

68032. Elo sida ixiw aħinoƛno biqin łˤono q’ˤim yołäsi bikori č’ač’aƛix yisir bukayn. ⇫ ¶

There he saw a three-headed snake that got under a big rock and was squeaking there.

А там он увидел, как трехголовая змея попала под один большой камень и пищала.

68033. Neła Ħon-Bahadurqor eƛin, mi däƛ’ay yedu ħal boɣnäy, deber din nagon boqłin kumakyor besanƛin. ⇫ ¶

It said to Mountain-Hero: "If you take away this trouble from me, I will help you whereever you are."

Она умоляла Гору-богатыря: «Если ты вызволишь меня из этого положения, то я когда-нибудь тебе помогу».

68034. Gula yisiqor eƛin, mi ža xexłiƛ’ bexur, yałi deber ža bikori ħilla-rek’mor besa yołƛin. ⇫ ¶

The horse said to him: "Kill it quickly, or else you will find that snake in deception."

Конь ему посоветовал: «Лучше убей ее, в противном случае она может тебе навредить».

68035. Ħon-bahadurä rok’no mač’an łˤonon bikoris q’ˤim reč’no kurno. ⇫ ¶

Mountain-Hero beated with his dagger and chopped off the tree heads of the snake.

Гора-богатырь ударом кинжала отрубил все три головы змеи.

68036. Elay bitor bik’in yizi sida ʕalazanyoz lilyoxor bayn. ⇫ ¶

The went on and came to the coast of a lake.

Пошли они дальше и добрались до берега одного озера.

68037. Gulu bišan begirno puƛ’or ʕoƛ’unosi, yeda moƛa iqirxo. ⇫ ¶

He let the horse eat, fell onto the side and the sleep took him away.

Он пустил коня пастись, а сам лег и заснул.

68038. Łˤoran ƛˤeba yeda elo kecno ƛexux. ⇫ ¶

And he remained there sleeping for three years.

И спал он там в течение трех лет.

68039. Xizyo nesiz aħya tełer kičuričus biłe haraƛ’ bayn. ⇫ ¶

Then, a noise like an earthquake came into his ear.

Потом он услышал шум, будто после землетрясения.

He shuddered and woke up.

He looked: A nine-headed dragon was coming to him.

Посмотрел и видит: идет на него девятиглавый дракон.

68042. Cimyarno bizin neła eƛin, dey eniw yexaru tušman didur mi t’aɣor nexłäƛin. ⇫ ¶

He, who got furiated, said: "How could you who killed my mother come here?!"

Разгневанный дракон говорил: «Как ты мог оказаться здесь, враг, который убил мою маму?»

68043. Ħon-bahadurä eƛin, debi eniwn yexursi, min bexuran, mi biłet’ani bišom bexurełxosi bahadur oqzaƛ’ nexsi di t’orƛin. ⇫ ¶

Mountain-Hero said: "I killed your mother, and I will kill you! I have come here, for I am the hero who has killed a hundred just like you."

Гора-богатырь сказал: «Я убил твою мать и тебя тоже убью и пришел сюда, потому что я богатырь, который способен уничтожить сотни подобных тебе».

68044. Haqazay mec-mec kurxo aždaħ nesiƛ’ ƛ’irir nexno. ⇫ ¶

Exhaling a flame out of his mouth, the dragon came closer to him.

Дракон пошел на него, выпуская из пасти огненное пламя.

68045. Ħon-bahadurä sosi rak’ru mač’id łˤonon q’ˤim nełas reč’no roɣno, k’ox äƛiru rok’nosi hemedurtow łˤonosinigon q’ˤim reč’no roɣno, łox äƛirugon regirnosi, aždaħes oč’inon q’ˤim reč’no. ⇫ ¶

Mountain-Hero hit him once with the dagger and cut three heads off of him; when he hit him for the second time, he cut three of his heads off as well; and when he did it for the third time then, he cut off all the nine heads.

Гора-богатырь одним ударом кинжала отрубил три его головы, после второго удара также отсек еще три головы, а на третий раз он отрезал все девять голов дракона.

68046. Nełałäy bäk’iru iya šet’urtow oreznabi rodin, howlortow aždaħno bexun. ⇫ ¶

The blood that came out of it, formed ponds all around, and there the dragon died.

От крови, которая у него шла, вокруг образовались озера, а дракон тут же издох.

68047. Xizyo Ħon-Bahadur k’edix guluł xizay oqno. ⇫ ¶

After that, Mountain-Hero went to search for the horse.

Затем Гора-богатырь отправился на поиски своего коня.

He found it eating somewhere on a mountain.

Он нашел его на одной горе, где тот щипал траву.

"Where have you been these three years?", asked him the horse.

Конь спросил, где он пропадал в течение трех лет.

"I was sleeping, and then I killed a nine-headed dragon.", he told.

68051. T’ok’ow mi nedur tox oqno äčinƛin, eƛin gulä łˤono t’umi ent’oza hawaƛ’ baħnayx zows, žeda nan moƛaq iqirerno äsu miƛin. ⇫ ¶

"Don't you get careless anymore!", the horse said, "Three pigeons were flying here in the air, and might have made you fall asleep."

«Впредь не оплошай, - посоветовал ему конь, - тут летали три голубя, может быть, они на тебя навели дремоту».

When Mountain-Hero heard the story about the pigeons, he wasn't tired anymore and said: "I will search for them!"

Как только услышал разговор о голубях, Гора-богатырь чуть было не вышел из себя и сказал: «Я же их ищу».

68053. Bažari-hunar yałru bahadurqo taraw žedu räqinč’iƛin, eƛin gula. ⇫ ¶

"No one except for a skilled and talented hero is able to get them.", said the horse.

«Только умелый, способный богатырь сможет их поймать», - промолвил конь.

68054. Elay bizin bik’iƛ’oräy žedude dandir nexxo iłno q’ˤim yołäsi aždaħ bukayn. ⇫ ¶

From there they got up, and saw a six-headed dragon coming towards them.

Встали и пошли, потом увидели шестиглавого дракона, который шел им навстречу.

68055. Yizi bukayrun, aždaħä zudäy roɣno ixiw riris ɣun yiził adäzar rayrno kurno. ⇫ ¶

When he saw them, the dragon tore out an alder tree from its roots and threw it before them.

Как дракон их узнал, он с корнями вытащил дерево и бросил перед ними.

68056. Dandi yizi huniƛxor k’oƛin bok’ełno, žedu zawza mečoƛ’ ža ɣunno rik’in c’oxno. ⇫ ¶

They had just gotten out of the way, and that tree hit the place where they had been.

Они только успели перейти дорогу, как в том месте, где они были, упало дерево.

68057. Ħon-bahadurä kurno c’eruc’as hil, aždaħzo yoƛƛo hut’-mˤalä c’oxno. ⇫ ¶

Mountain-Hero shot an arrow from his bow and hit the dragon in the middle of its face.

Гора-богатырь выстрелил из лука, и стрела попала ему прямо между глаз.

68058. Aždaħa qˤaƛu rok’nosi kičuriču rayzaƛ’ riłe raƛ’no k’ek’-rik’no, yizin bižin taqˤo č’aq’ˤirno. ⇫ ¶

The dragon released a shout, and moved the earth like by an earthquake, and thus caused them to fall far away.

68059. K’ox äƛirugon Ħon-Bahadurä kurno c’eruc’a - aždaħez rok’eł č’aq’ˤin. ⇫ ¶

Mountain-Hero shot a second time with his bow and hit the dragons heart.

Гора-богатырь снова выстрелил из лука и попал в сердце.

68060. T’ok’ow k’ek’-bik’łinč’ey howlortow bexun ža - iłno q’ˤim yołali aždaħ. ⇫ ¶

The dragon with the six heads couldn't move anymore and died there.

Letting his horse pull the killed dragon away from there, Mountain-Hero came before a big palace.

When they went inside, they heard the dragon's youngs say to their mother: "Our father is coming, carrying behind him that man he has tied."

68063. Neła eƛin, mežus babiw sida žek’a ici-uk’in guluq ƛisirno owx, haxar hoboy ruqˤło, nesiq riqinč’eykin rok’ełxana eliƛin. ⇫ ¶

She said: "One man made his horse carry your father here, now go hiding quickly; can we escape from getting caught by him?"

Она поправила их: «Какой-то человек тащит вашего отца, скорее спрячьтесь, может, хотя бы мы успеем убежать от него».

68064. Bexurali aždaħno azbaryoxor kurno, žedaƛ’orkin ezunč’ey, Ħon-Bahadur nesä nesiz hunix ik’in. ⇫ ¶

He threw the dragon into the palace, and without even looking at them, Mountain-Hero went on his way.
