Once there was a king who had one daughter.

65002. Hemełatow šaharyagon zownƛax, eni-babiwn bexun, yatimłiƛ’ ƛexasi q’ˤano guluči sis aqiw esnabi. ⇫ ¶

In that same city lived, they say, two brothers and one sister, whose parents had died and they remained in orphanhood.

В том же городе жили, говорят, два брата и сестра, оставшиеся в нищете после смерти родителей.

65003. Gulučini esnazałäy eženiq oc’ino ƛˤeb zown, nesiqayzoniq - oč’ino ƛˤeb, aqugani esiw žeduł teł hič’č’a yeɣe zown. ⇫ ¶

Of the brothers, the old one was ten years old, the other one was nine; and the sister was the youngest among them.

Старшему из братьев было десять лет, следующему было девять лет, а сестра среди них была самая младшая.

65004. Baluɣłiƛ’or bayace žeda bet’erbaqi boyx zown, sides rok’ek’no šebin, sideniłgon adäza micxiryoƛ beynoyn. ⇫ ¶

Until they reached maturity, they were living their life stealing things from one, and working for money for the other.

До совершеннолетия они жили, воруя вещи у одного, работая за деньги у другого.

65005. Sida quł q’ˤanon esnabi urɣizi boqno xanez iday micxir bok’ek’anƛin. ⇫ ¶

One day the two brothers thought: "We'll steal money from the king's home!"

Однажды оба брата решили украсть деньги из ханского дома.

65006. Sosi bok’ek’no, k’ox bok’ek’no xanes bečełi yizä ragixtow rižix zown. ⇫ ¶

They stole once, they stole twice, and the king's riches they were "licking" and carrying away.

Один раз украли, второй раз украли, богатство хана буквально таяло на глазах.

65007. Xizyo xanä sis siħiray q’orolayn goƛ’in nesä nesidäɣor, nełaq esin, däz iday micxir nar eƛa biynč’ey gugix, łu bok’ek’xosi yałrułin didurnokin riyxanuƛin. ⇫ ¶

Then the king invited a cunning widow to himself and he told her: "Money has vanished from my home to who-knows-where, I don't know whatsoever who might have stolen."

65008. Q’orola xanqo mołin, c’ohor nexxozo mečoƛ’ mi nucos bic’äsi q’ili eqroƛin. ⇫ ¶

The widow explained to the king: "Put a pot filled with honey to the place the thief came to."

Вдова подсказала хану: «Поставь в том месте, где будет идти вор, бак, полный меда.

65009. Nucos bic’äsi q’ilima tełer keze aqru žek’u maħorno oqäłinč’i, hemedur ža c’ohorno mi iqärƛin. ⇫ ¶

The man who falls into the pot filled with honey won't come outside, so you will catch the thief.

Человек, который попадет в бак, не сможет оттуда уйти, и ты таким образом поймаешь вора».

65010. Q’orola äsiruxor rodin xanä. ⇫ ¶

The king acted as the widow told.

Хан сделал так, как подсказала вдова.

65011. Neširugon žedu baħnayx zawrunitow hunäza q’ˤanon esnabi micxir bok’ek’anix bayn. ⇫ ¶

At night, then, the two brothers came on the same way they had been walking on, to steal the money.

Вечером они пошли воровать той же дорогой, которой ходили и раньше.

65012. Elo yizi nucos bic’äsi q’ilima teł šišin. ⇫ ¶

There they got stuck in the pot filled with honey.

65013. Nełqay bok’łanix žedu bet’u-k’aƛiruce q’ˤanon esnabi bežigon tełxor šišix bik’ix zown. ⇫ ¶

As they were hopping in order to escape from it, the two brothers got stuck inside even more.

65014. Eženi esiya eɣeniq reƛ’a caƛix kumak nesir boyx zown, yedakin ok’ełxanaƛin. ⇫ ¶

The older brother was helping giving his hand to the younger one, so at least he might escape.

Старший брат помогал руками младшему, мол, пусть хотя бы он отделался.

65015. Didurnokin žedus bok’ełxosi ħal boqnoanu neła “boc’oqaqay”. ⇫ ¶

However, they were not able to escape from that "trap".

Но никак они не могли избавиться от этого «капкана».

65016. Xizyo eženi esiya eƛin, q’ˤanon bexa adäza sis exun riguƛin. ⇫ ¶

Then the older brother said: "Before two die, it's better if [just] one dies.

Тогда старший брат сказал: «Чем умирать обоим, пусть один погибнет!

65017. Xaner šebi yałru iyač’iniƛäy mi dey q’ˤimno reč’o, iyos orezni boqnosi min ok’äł t’ayƛin, xizyo nesiqor amanat bodin, mi dey q’ˤimno ruqˤo, yeɣeni esiwqno rukarno, nagaħ dey laga debeq biqinäy, q’ˤimde sadaq buyn šušoƛin. ⇫ ¶

For the king won't know who it was, cut off my head and escape from there after there is a large pool of blood!"; then he gave him the order: "And hide my head, don't show it to our little sister, if you can get my body, bury it together with my head."

Чтобы хан не узнал, кто это, отрежь мне голову, когда появится лужа крови, и ты освободишься отсюда». Потом он его попросил: «Спрячь мою голову, не показывай ее даже младшей сестре, а если достанешь мое тело, похорони его вместе с головой».

65018. ʕIya-carada oqno eɣeni esiw, däq debi q’ˤim reč’äłinč’iƛin. ⇫ ¶

The young brother began to cry: "I won't be able to cut your head off!"

Младший брат начал плакать: «Я не смогу отсечь тебе голову».

65019. Hudun eženi esiya xecinč’izaƛ’, nesä äƛiruxor rodin. ⇫ ¶

Nevertheless, because the older brother wouldn't leave it be, he did what he said.

Старший брат настаивал, и тот сделал так, как он сказал.

65020. Hemełƛ’o xizyo nucos bic’alini q’ilimay yeda maħorno oqno, eženi esiws q’ˤimno risno iduɣor oxin. ⇫ ¶

After that, he got out of the honey-filled pot, took the older brother's head and ran home.

После этого он выбрался из медовой емкости, забрал голову старшего брата и побежал домой.

65021. Ža q’ˤimno ruqˤno yeda esiwde igor ayn. ⇫ ¶

That head he hid and went toward his sister.

Спрятав голову, он пошел к сестре.

65022. Elus esiw na yołƛin neła esirnosi, q’ˤuya šaharyaɣor ik’äsiƛin, yaƛ’irno nesä ža. ⇫ ¶

When she asked: "Where is our brother?", he lied to her: "He has gone to another city."

Когда она спросила, где, мол, их брат, он обманул ее, сказав, что он уехал в другой город.

65023. Sasaqosi xan ezu-ʕaƛ’un, nucoz q’ilima teł c’ohortow yołäƛin. ⇫ ¶

The next morning the king examined, if ther was a thief in the honey pot.

65024. Elo yisir q’ˤim anusi lagax laga besun. ⇫ ¶

There he found a body without a head.

65025. Xaner bič’zi roqno elo q’ˤano c’ohor zawrułin, sisinigon elay oxin äk’irułin. ⇫ ¶

The king understood that there were two thiefs and the other one had run away from there.

Хан понял, что там было два вора, и то, что другой оттуда сбежал.

65026. Ža q’orolay yisä iduɣorno goƛ’in, razi yodaniƛäy nełar ʕuraw saɣyatyabi teƛno. ⇫ ¶

He invited the widow into his house again, and for her to agree he gave her many presents.

Он пригласил ту вдову домой, подарил ей много подарков, чтобы ее порадовать.

65027. Žigoƛ’aygon neła xanqo mołin, eloša debi aluk’ani ħumukuli maħor begir, c’ohorä ža bok’ek’inč’ey xäcinč’i. ⇫ ¶

Once again she explained to the king: "Let your white camel out there, the thief won't leave it unstolen.

На этот раз она подсказала хану следующее: «Выпусти на улицу вот того белого верблюда и вор его украдет.

65028. Xizyo ža c’ohor k’edin esuranix di ƛ’iri risxo, daruyar ħumukulis reƛ där retinƛin iduzan yaħnaynƛin. ⇫ ¶

Afterwards I will take actions to search and find the thief, walking around the homes [saying] that I want camel meat for a medicine."

65029. Hudayziko xanä aluk’ani ħumukuli ciq-beqaƛ’aɣor boxirno xecin. ⇫ ¶

The next day, the king chased his white camel somwhere and left it there.

На следующий день хан выгнал белого верблюда на пастбище и оставил там.

65030. Neła qułtow nesi eɣeni esiws nełaƛ’ ozuri c’oxnoƛax. ⇫ ¶

That very day it caught the younger sister's eye.

В тот же день младший брат увидел его.

65031. Sasiłacen ičin, iduɣorno bižin yisä yedu ħumukuli buyn bexayn, waħazoni ɣˤutka nełas reƛno ruqˤno. ⇫ ¶

She waited until it got dark, lead that camel home and indeed slaughtered it and hid it's meat in the cellar.

65032. Žeda žedur ʕeziyaw reƛ raħiranixgon esiwn yegirno. ⇫ ¶

The sister did that so they would have much meat for themselves.

65033. Raħäruni reƛno rac’no, ence mazaħarno xizor utin iduɣor nexƛ’oräy, yiziz ɣˤutka tełäzay maħor yoqxo howža q’orolay yukayn. ⇫ ¶

He ate the cooked meat and while coming home again, he saw that widow getting out of their house.

Поел вареного мяса, вышел на улицу и, когда возвращался домой, увидел ту вдову, которая выходила из их дома.

65034. Migon nazay t’or yiħułäƛin, esirno yisä q’orolaq. ⇫ ¶

"Now where have you come from, here?", he asked the widow.

«Ты как попала сюда?» - спросил он вдову.

65035. Daruyar ħumukulis reƛ riqač’ineyƛin maħor yoqäsi zows, debez esiwqay ence dahaw räqiru reƛno risno yik’ix hoboyƛin, eƛin q’orolayä. ⇫ ¶

"I didn't get camel's meat for a medicine.", she came outside, "Now I got a little bit from your sister and am going now.", the widow said.

«Я искала верблюжье мясо для лекарства и немного нашла у твоей сестры, с этим теперь и иду», - сказала вдова.

65036. Ža dahaw neƛno deber, žigon neƛanƛin, yisä yedu mecyoxno yiqirno ƛisi-yoxun iduɣor yižin, yexurno q’orolay. ⇫ ¶

"She gave you a little, I will give you some more.", he took her into his hand, dragged her into the house and killed the widow.

Then he cut off her hand, and burried the widow in the cellar, then he went to the village's assembly in a side street.

There he saw the headless corpse of his brother tied to a pole.

Afterwards he came home and told his younger sister everything that had happened to their older brother.

Пришел домой и рассказал младшей сестре обо всем, что произошло со старшим братом.

65040. Howži yiła eƛin, didur di hoboy łaƛ’or yik’iƛ’oräy esiws žanaza bukaynosi, ʕiyaynč’ey yik’anƛin. ⇫ ¶

Now she said: "How, while I'm going to fetch water, am I going to go without crying when I see my brother's corpse?"

Тогда она сказала: «Как я теперь удержу слезы, увидев труп брата, когда пойду за водой?»

65041. Mi ʕiyaynäy, ahlimos šakno bäk’i, yižin xander min karƛin. ⇫ ¶

"If you cry, people will get suspicious and throw you before the king."

«Если ты заплачешь, люди начнут тебя подозревать и отведут тебя к хану».

65042. Eženi esiya esin, č’ikays tungin bisno łäħorno yik’i, kikxar yik’iƛ’oräy yaħno bodo, elazay tungin bic’no nexƛ’oräy, esiwz žanazaxor yaynosi, tungi q’ˤidar bˤoƛ’a begirno xec. ⇫ ¶

The older brother told: "Take a glass jug and go to the water; when you go to the spring, be patient and when you fill the jug there, come to your brother's corpse, let the jug fall down and leave.

Старший брат сказал: «Пойди за водой со стеклянным кувшином, потерпи, когда пойдешь к роднику, а при возвращении с полным кувшином, когда дойдешь до трупа брата, урони кувшин на землю.

65043. Tungi becunosi, mi ʕiyada behizi yaq. ⇫ ¶

After the jug broke, you may cry.

65044. Bäxuruni tungił xizay yedu ʕiyayxƛin xalq’imozgon rok’ƛ’orno rayƛin. ⇫ ¶

And the people will think that you're crying for the broken jug."

А люди подумают, что ты плачешь из-за разбитого кувшина».

65045. Esiya małiruxor, č’ikays tungin bisno, yedu łäħor yik’in. ⇫ ¶

According to what the brother had said, she took a glass jug and went to get water.

Как подсказал брат, она взяла стеклянный кувшин и пошла за водой.

65046. Łäs tungin bic’no xizor yutin yedu nexƛ’oräy, esiwz žanazał adäzar yaynosi, gugyoq caƛin bowx zawru tungi begirno xecin yiła q’ˤidar. ⇫ ¶

She filled the jug with water and while she was coming back, she came to the corpse of her brother, let the jug fall down, which was [bringing/thrown at her back???], and left.

Когда она возвращалась с полным кувшином воды и оказалась перед трупом брата, уронила на землю кувшин, который тащила на спине.

65047. Tungi bexunosi, ʕiyayn yičin yedu. ⇫ ¶

When the jug broke, she was crying.

Кувшин разбился, и она зарыдала.

65048. Hemełƛ’o xizyo xanes nukarbi yiłade igorno bayn esirno, yeda šebi deber oqxo, šida mi ʕiyayxƛin. ⇫ ¶

After that, the king's henchmen came near her and asked: "What is he to you; why are you crying?"

Вот тогда к ней подошли ханские нукеры и спросили, кто он ей и почему она плачет.

65049. Di nesix ʕiyayxanu, enła bäxuruni tungix ʕiyayxƛin, žagon där iyxosi žek’ukin anuƛin. ⇫ ¶

"I am not crying for him, I'm crying for the broken jug. I don't know this man."

«Я не его оплакиваю, я из-за разбитого кувшина плачу, а он для меня совершенно незнакомый человек».

65050. Xanes nukarbi, nełaƛ’ bužzin boqno, xizor bik’in. ⇫ ¶

The king's henchmen believed her and went back.

Ханские нукеры поверили ей и ушли.

65051. Tungiƛ’ay yok’äłru kidno, esiwx ʕiyayx iduɣor yik’in. ⇫ ¶

And the girl who was going away from the jug went home crying for her brother.

А девушка, лишившаяся кувшина, пошла домой, оплакивая своего брата.

65052. Nełƛ’ay soder xanä nesä nesis kid xaliča rišanix mažgityaɣort’a yegirxo zown, neširu ayn c’ohorä nesir žukłi radinƛin. ⇫ ¶

After that, the king was sending his own daughter to the mosque to weave mats, thinking that in the night the thief might come and do evil to him.

С тех пор хан, опасаясь, что вор причинит ему зло, послал свою дочь в мечеть вязать ковер.

65053. Žan c’unzi yodin elogon xanä nukarbin xecin. ⇫ ¶

To guard her, the king left his henchmen there.

Там хан, чтобы ее охранять, поставил нукеров.

65054. Ža šebin yisi eɣeni esiwr teqno. ⇫ ¶

And the young brother heard of that.

Об этом услышал младший брат.

65055. Q’orolas reč’alini reƛ’an rižin, yeda mažgityoz akixor ik’in. ⇫ ¶

He took out the cut-off hand of the widow and went to the moque's window.

С отрезанной рукой вдовы он подошел к окну мечети.

65056. Izin akiqno t’it’aħin, tełxor q’orolas reƛ’a roƛik’no, elo žan c’unizi yodin bäčiruni nukarza, rok’no mač’an reč’no roɣno. ⇫ ¶

He got up and clutched at the window, and let the widow's hand appear inside, and the henchmen who were guarding her cut it off with their saber(s).

Поднялся, зацепился за окно и просунул туда руку вдовы, а нукеры, которые охраняли ее, ударом кинжала отрезали ее.

65057. Xizyo xanä nazon nukarzaq riyrno, c’ohor yoł t’oza sis reƛ’a anusi, meži nasin nesił xizay boq, ža meža iqira ayƛin. ⇫ ¶
