But no matter how much food she had, she didn't throw even one piece of the bread to the dog.

After it got evening, only some of the cattle came back to the village with her.

61017. ʕAƛoz xalq’imon nełaƛ’ ʕayib erno, best’al kidbä rig posu ričirsi, mi yołi kamirno rayrsiƛin. ⇫ ¶

And the people of the village blamed her: "The stepdaughter kept the cattle well; you, however, brought them back and have lost some."

The stepdaughter had a cow.

She [the cow] said to the stepdaughter: "Tomorrow I will be slaughtered, don't let [them] throw my bones somewhere, but put them into the trough."

The next day the cow was slaughtered.

They ate its meat, and then put the remaining bones inside the trough that she [the cow] was tied to.

One day a rich man in that village was making a big marriage.

The father, the stepmother and her sister were invited and went to the marriage, the stepdaughter remained home alone.

An old woman came along and asked her: "Why don't you go to the marriage?"

"I have no new clothings to put on there", said the girl.

The old one told her: "Go look at the trough were you put that cow's bones!"

Afterwards, he sister came home.

She said to her father: "You must kill this stepsister, when she is alive, I will not get happy again ever in my world."

Her mother likewise turned to him: "If you don't kill the girl, I will take my daughter with me and run away from you."

The man could not get away from his daughter's and his wife's words.

According to what they said, he brought her far away into some forest.

On the place where she hit her head, a big window appeared.

On the place where the girl threw her back to, a door appeared.

Then the old one went through the door and got inside, and said to the girl: "Prepare food!"

"How shall I prepare food, old man, if there aren't things to prepare it with, here?", the girl said.

The old man sent the girl to the spring: "There you will find food."

She brought it home and pushed it ahead and when they finished eating, the old one said to the girl: "Tomorrow wait on the edge of the roof, from above two crates will come falling down, shout 'Kurun-karan!' ot the one and 'Tsurun-tsaran!' to the other one!"

The next morning after dawn, the stepdaughter got onto the roof.

When she was on the roof's edge and was shouting: "Kurun-karan!", one crate came down from above.

Not touching it with the hand, she let the crate down.

Then the crate came down that she said "Tsurun-tsaran!" to.

The girl took it into her hand and carried it home.
