The sons fulfilled the father's testament and - according to what he had said - poured salt on it.

37005. Šibaw ɣudƛ’o šudaƛ’ay ciyo raganix sis ixiw miƛ’it’a bayx zown. ⇫ ¶

Every day a big ram was coming to lick the salt from the grave.

One day, the oldest son tried to catch it, but it escaped and ran away.

On the second day, he prepared a horse and went to wait looking to the father's graveyard in order to catch it right when it comes.

37008. Miƛ’i boƛäxrun, et’un guluƛ’orno k’oƛin oqno xizay. ⇫ ¶

Just when the ram appeared, he jumped onto his horse and began to ride behind it.

Появился баран, выскочил на коня и побежал за ним.

37009. Boxin žan, xizay k’oƛin yizirin bik’iƛ’oräy, sidaɣ ɣˤayz iħuƛ’ozoni ƛeraxor bayza mečoƛ’, ozƛäy bˤeƛ’q’u bok’ełno. ⇫ ¶

While it ran away and they were riding behind it, the sheep escaped from his eye at the place where it came to the bridge over a milk river.

Он бежал, вслед за ним мчались они, и когда дошли до одной молочной реки, баран исчез с глаз.

37010. Ža gagirun, suƛi gula neł iħay ɣˤay ħaƛurun, gulun, užintown ɣˤuler butix. ⇫ ¶

Right after it had escaped, the horse suddenly drank the milk from that river and the horse and the boy turned to stone.

37011. Sasaqgon miƛ’i šudaƛ’or ciyo raganix bayn. ⇫ ¶

And on the next day, the ram came to the graveyard to lick the salt again.

37012. Eɣenigon esiw ža biqiranƛin oqno, hemedurtow nesiqayn boxin bok’ełno. ⇫ ¶

The young brother tryed to catch it, and just as before it escaped and ran away from him.

37013. Nesän hudayziko sasaqtow izin gulun ħadur bodin xalmoƛ’or ičin. ⇫ ¶

He got up the next morning, prepared a horse and examined.

37014. Miƛ’i bayrun, guluƛ’no zown eɣeni esiw k’oƛin nełał xizay. ⇫ ¶

Just when the ram came, the young brother rode on the horse and followed it.

Как только пришел баран, младший брат сел на коня и бросился за ним.

37015. Boxin bik’ixozo miƛ’ił xizay bˤałno gulun ik’ixosi yeda, ɣˤayz iħuƛ’ozoni ƛeroƛ’ taqˤor boqƛ’oräy, ža miƛ’i yisä bexurno iħäɣor kurno. ⇫ ¶

He striked his horse and rode behind the escaping ram, and when it got over the bridge over the milk river, he killed the ram and threw it into the river.

Он мчался на коне за убегающим бараном и при переходе моста через молочную реку, он убил барана и выбросил в реку.

37016. Elay bitor ik’iƛ’oräy, yeda eɣeni esiw sidaɣ ʕaƛar ayn. ⇫ ¶

While going away from there, the young brother came into a village someplace.

37017. Elo yisir šeƛ’urez meča ħošan lagiq šet’u rutirno ahli besun. ⇫ ¶

There he found people wearing hides around their body instead of clothes.

37018. Yisä esirno žeduq, šida meži nedur bičäsiƛin. ⇫ ¶

He asked them: "Why do you live that way?"

37019. Elus šeƛ’ures bic’äsi gama raładyoł boƛor bayrułer tełxor biħusƛin, žawab teƛno žeda nesir. ⇫ ¶

"The boat filled with our clothes sank when it came to the middle of the sea.", they answered him.

When they came to the middle [of the sea], he saw a girl pulling their boat downwards.

37023. Neła mixƛ’o yisä k’oƛin nełas kodi biqirno. ⇫ ¶

At that time, he ran and took her by her hair.

37024. Didurnokin eɣeni esiws ħal bayrxo zownanu neła, kodi begirinč’eygon yedan zank’izin oqno ičäsi zown. ⇫ ¶

The young brother couldn't overcome her in any way, but he didn't let her hair go.

Младший брат никак не мог перебороть ее, и он упорно не отпускал ее волосы.

37025. Zamanałäy bet’un kodin nexno, begirno gaman xecin yedu kid raładyołxor yiħun. ⇫ ¶

After some time, the hair came off and the girl let go of the boat and went into the sea.

Через некоторое время вырвались волосы, а она отцепилась от лодки и нырнула в море.

37026. Gama lilyoxaɣor bok’ełnosi, nazon ʕaƛoz ahlimos rok’un ħalkizi roqno. ⇫ ¶

When the boat escaped to the beach, all the village's citizens calmed down.

He put the saddle and his stuff on the horse, took the rifle and went on his way towards the sunrise.

Запряг коня, взял ружье и отправился в путь в ту сторону, откуда восходит солнце.

37030. ʕOƛno ħonno, ʕoƛno iħun xecin ik’inosi, sida ʕaƛar ayn. ⇫ ¶

After he walked past seven mountains and seven rivers, he came into a village.

Оставил позади семь гор и семь рек, пришел в одно село.

37031. Elo ƛirbałix sida ɣˤanazader keze oqnosi, yisir neł ʕaƛnos xalq’i sidaɣor butäsi bukayn. ⇫ ¶

When he became the guest of a woman there, he saw the people of the village gathering in some place.

Когда там попал в гости к одной женщине, он увидел жителей села, которые собрались в одно место.

37032. Žedu bigtow q’ʷaridno boqno bičäsi boqzaƛ’, eɣeni esiya neł ečruni ɣˤanazaq esirno, žedu šida nece q’ʷaridno boqno bičäsiƛin. ⇫ ¶

Because they were very sad, the younger brother asked that old woman: "Why are they so sad?"

Видя, что они стоят сильно опечаленные, младший брат спросил той старой женщины, почему они настолько удрученные стоят мол.

37033. Yiła žawab bodin, hič’č’an bečedawni žek’us sistow sis yałruni uži iyrinč’ey ok’ek’no. ⇫ ¶

She answered: "Someone has stolen the only son of the richest man, without him knowing."

Она ответила, у самого богатого человека незаметно украли одного единственного сына.

37034. Xizyo ečruni ɣˤanabi ʕaƛos xalq’i batizarno yik’in eƛin, däde idur sis uži ayäsi yoł, šebigo boqłin hunar boqinč’inäy ža t’orkin keze aqinč’iƛin. ⇫ ¶

Afterwards, the old woman went to where the village's people gathered and said: "A boy has come to my home, if he had no talent, he wouldn't have come here."

When he got on his way, the people were stopping him: "Don't go here, you will be stolen as well!"

They could not stop him.

And right when he saw that there was some girl who was trying to run away, he ran behind her and took what she had on her feet.

Taking it into the house, he looked around and found the rich man's son.

Когда с ней (обувью) ходил дома, он нашел сын богатого человека.

37044. Žan ayrno eɣeni esiw aynosi, c’ik’iw ʕaƛos xalq’i ɣˤaɣˤu bizin. ⇫ ¶

When the young brother came bringing him, all the village's people got happy.

Младший брат пришел с ним и все жители села обрадовались.

37045. Yisir ʕaƛa bercinaw kid teƛno. ⇫ ¶

They gave him a beautiful girl in the village.

И жители села за него выдали красивую девушку.

37046. Yeda nełaƛ’ razi oqinč’izaƛ’, baqru q’ut’imoxor ƛ’irigon yisir gulun, tupingon teƛno. ⇫ ¶

Because he didn't accept her and according to the agreement that had been made, they gave him a horse and a gun.

Он не согласился с этим и по договору дополнительно дали ему коня и ружье.

37047. Bisno yaraɣno, guluƛ’no zown yeda buq boƛäxzaɣor ik’iƛ’orey, ayn sida beže ʕaƛar. ⇫ ¶

He took the weapon, sat on the horse and when he rode towards the sunrise, he came into a big village

Взял оружие, ехал он на коне в сторону восхода солнца и пришел в одно село.

37048. Neł ʕaƛos xalq’i besun yisir asaɣor reƛ’ibin kurno, qema regirƛin Allahqo harizi boqxo. ⇫ ¶

He found the people of the village spreading out their hands into the sky pleading God: "Send us rain!"

Он нашел там людей, просивших Аллаха, с протянутыми руками на небо, чтобы им дал дождь.

37049. Yisä esirno, šebi retin meži harizi boqxoƛin. ⇫ ¶

He asked: "What are you asking for?"

Он спросил, о чем вы просите мол.

37050. Žamaʕatyo esin nesiq žeduƛ’or bayruni q’ʷariłiłäy, raq’dalłin rayn quqi-rucin qˤiči-močin, posun rexus elusƛin. ⇫ ¶

The population told him of the sadness that was done to them: "A draught came, and our crop dried and our cattle died."

37051. Eɣʷeni esiya elar-t’ar xalq’in biq’ˤirno, asaɣor tupi karun, q’ˤidar bašiqˤoyn bašan roƛ’un. ⇫ ¶

The young brother put the people aside somewhere and right when he shot into the sky with the rifle, down fell a ring and a finger.

Младший брат отодвинул туда-сюда людей, выстрелил в небо и на землю пали палец и кольцо.

37052. Ža nesä risno čantaɣor eqärun, regirno xecin qema. ⇫ ¶

As soon as he took them and put them into a pocket, it started to rain.

Он взял и положил те в карман и полил дождь.

37053. Elozo ʕaƛos xalq’imo yisir micxir teƛa boqno, amma eɣeni esiya eƛin, där mežus bečełi ħažat anu. ⇫ ¶

The people in the village there began to give him money, but the young brother said: "I don't need your riches.

Жители того села хотели ему давать деньги, но младший брат сказал, мне ваше богатство не нужно.

37054. Sis bigu gulun, ec’no šeƛ’un neƛ meža där, din hunix egirƛin. ⇫ ¶

Give me a good horse, new clothes and let me go my way!"

Вы мне дайте одного хорошего коня, новую одежду и проводите меня мол.

37055. Boɣno žeduqay bigu gulun, nełaƛ’no zown buq boƛäxza puƛ’aɣor ik’in. ⇫ ¶

He took the good horse from them, and rode on it towards the sunrise.

Взял у них хорошего коня, сел на него и поехал в сторону восхода солнца.

37056. Sis ħon xecix, q’ano xecix, łˤono äƛiru xecinosi sida sasiw ciqor nišiw huni yałza mečoƛ’or ayn. ⇫ ¶

Passing one mountain, passing two, and when he was passing the third one, he came to a place where there was a narrow way into a gloomy forest.

When he took the way, he came to a clearance.

When he took a look inside, the younger brother didn't find anyone.

37060. Łˤono äƛiru t’alamzo čardaħäɣor oqnosi, raɣiƛ aɣzas šeƛ’u ƛ’iräy roɣxo łˤonon bercinawt’a kidbabi rukayn. ⇫ ¶

When he came to the balcony on the third floor, he saw three beautiful girls undressing of birds' clothes under the veranda.
